Patch release

Post by wes »

Hi all,

Long time H2/3 player here, still undecided about ANW.

I have read in this forum about a lot of problems currently present in the initial release. I have also read that a patch is in preparation that will fix many of these. Does anybody have a firm date when this patch is going to be released? Thanks.

wes a beta patch can be downloaded once the game has been bought and registered.

What I'm wondering is if the final version of the patch will have any additional fixes in addition to the ones fixed in the beta.

Just wondering.  [:)]

There was a message on AGSI forum about another half-dozen bugs being fixed for the 'official' patch release.

Looks like this second release of the Beta patch has not yet been released to Matrix.

Latest official form AGSI:
"Update August 16, 2006
While the add'l testing has resulted in some new bugs to kill we ran into an opportunity and decided to step back and regroup.....
We are not going to release 3.7.1 - but rather 3.7.3.
The difference is mostly internal, and a really cool, long awaited, UI enhancement.
Team Harpoon will be working this release over for a few weeks before we are likely to get to an RC for testing to registered 3.7.0 users at Matrix Games."

Hi All,

Since anyone I've ever met that is involved with Harpoon seems to be an information junkie, I thought I would give you as much of an info update as my NDA allows concerning the ANW patch.

Considering what was found with the 3.7.1 Beta patch, and continuing work on other existing bugs, along with a decision to roll a few more features into the "for real" patch, AGSI has decide to delay release for a short time longer.

I agree with this, but I do realize that it is a pain for the players. Please consider that AGSI is not a large company, and some of the coding work on this product is a bit tricky. I for one would rather see them take their time and try their best to get it right.

I have no knowledge of a timeline for this release, only that it is getting close. So patience guys. We'll see a better product out of this soon.

Hello Jeff,

thank you for this enlightement.
Is it any reason that wouldn't make all the bugs reported on various forums fixed when the patch will be released?

Jan,

When the release is actually made, AGSI posts an update including bug fixes here:

http://mediawiki.advancedgaming.biz/ind ... =Main_Page

It may take a little while after the actual release, limited manpower etc.
