RE: Tigers on the Hunt Tutorial Video

<t> I appreciate the videos and Tutorial walkthru as well. Just wanted to note, if you play as Americans in Training Scenario #1 (because why not jump in before reading?) you lose a lot of units (and learn not to cross a road under fire), but you win!<br/>

Can you try to rename "video" folder to "novideo" and restart a game?

Worked for me, thanks.

<t> During the Install process I chose "no" for updating DirectX, since I have DX9.0c (4.09.0000.0904), and DX is a major chore if anything goes wrong.<br/>

RE: OT: Anybody Familiar With UPS (Uninterupted Power Source)?

I'd recommend a new UPS unless you bought a very high end one.

Also, from my experience, plugging a hair dryer into the UPS along with the computer is a bad idea (hey, I spilled coffee in the keyboard and wanted to dry it out!).

Thanks. If it's supposed to happen automatically I'll just deal with it.

I just wondered.

Try unitnstalling and reinstalling the game.

Cool feature.

Do I really have to change video mode manually?

Just curious. The game starts up, but clearly only the upper left of the screen is showing. When I reset settings manually it runs fine. Do I really have to manually swap to 1024x768 every time I play?

[PS - If so, how much memory do I have to have free in the lower 640k?]

The great thing about the West Coast Karachi transfer, as I understand it, is that it includes fixed coastal guns as well.

How bad does this get trying to monitor the rules? Seems easy to overlook (since you'd have to time stuff manually for arrival dates etc).
