RE: New scenario for testing: Stag Yellow (1969)

Sounds like symptoms previously described when scenario and database version don't match. Maybe the scen author has used one of the beta builds with an updated DB to build the scenario so you wouldn't have the relevant database installed.

Basically if you aim for a spot, probability of impact is highest at the point you are aiming at and the further you move away from the aimpoint the ...

I guess that would depend on the relative dp of all the other units in the Databases as well.

Sonobuoys and droptanks are infinit supply, so no need to add them.

RE: Dipping sonar don't work, I think

<t> As explained in another post there are several distinct stati that a helicopter has to go through in order to start using the dipping sonar. This process can currently not be triggered manually. I think the devs put this function on the development, but can't find the relevant post right now ...

RE: COMMS EMCON and COMINT

<t> The problem is probably related to radar horizon and LOS. Symptoms sound to me like ESM gear will only detect radar if it is above the horizon. This means that most powerfull radars will be able to detect enemies at the same range as ESM gear will be able to pick ip their radiation (i.e. when ...

There are two databases. You are probably playing a scenario that builds on the database that you have not yet added pictures to.

<t> IIRC download is handled through the Amazon cloud service, so should be fairly reliable. I have read very few posts of download problems, and those that I did read got sorted within a day. Additionally as long as you are logged in when purchasing, you can redownload the game at any time.<br ...

RE: Decluttering grouped airfields

<t> Also, if you attach reference points to a group they should behave similar to units that are added to a group i.e. they should only be shown when the group is selected. I am sure this would help a lot with decluttering the screen when using relative refpoint formations. I am sure there would be ...

Yea, let the player group enemy contacts and only show individual units when the group is selected or in Unit view. Sounds like a good idea to me.

RE: CONTENTS OF DATABASE

<t> Let's put it this way: If you find a ship that's not in the database which has seen service in any navy or will enter service in the near future, and you need it for a scenario the DB admins will likely add it for the next scheduled DB update. If you don't need it for a scen immediately they ...

looks to me like it is (you are?) trying to execute the .exe file in a temporary folder. Make sure to copy it to your existing command installation folder (should be C:\Matrix Games\Command Modern Air Naval Operations as default)

RE: Heli atltitude and speed - ASW

<t> I am not sure if there are release restrictions for sonobuoys in the database. At most I would think that there is a max altitude for theiir release. As long as you can get them to deploy with the hotkey I don't think that speed/altitude of the launching platform will make much difference ...
