Eric,

That seems to have done it. The game did not crash at start-up, nor in two hours of play time. And I had all the races available, including the Ikkuro and the Dhayut.

I've only had a limited amount of time to play, but it seems to function properly.

Unable to attach a Saved Game file, though.

Just for laughs, I uninstalled DW2 again. Then I installed 1.0.6.4.. The game started.
I then installed 1.1.0.9. The game started.
I then installed 1.1.2.4. The game started.
Finally, I installed the DLC 1.1.2.4. In the Start A New Game setup there still only the six original races, and when I hit ...

Hi Eric, I would have included the Session log in the original post, I received message that that file wasn't valid and was allowed to attach it!?! Today, I can.

In Policy Settings check to see what your default action is for capturing ships and capturing bases. In DWU it seemed that no matter what your Policy settings were for captured ships and bases you still had the option to manually decide. In DW2 it seems to me that what you chose in Policy Settings ...

I noticed that there was a Space Creature at this star. Decided to send a fleet in to take care of it.
Wow! A gathering of Graillex. Or is it a Gaggle?!
I count at least 40.
Game settings is for Few Space Creatures.

So which links/patches would I need to actually play this mod. I have only begun to read the entire thread and I'm already a bit confused (one modder begins and another takes over). Looks pretty intense and I would like to try it. Thanks for any clarification anyone can provide!
