CS 2.02 Rising Sun Map issue

<t> I have been playing WF/EF against multiple opponents with no issues. One of my opponents sent a Rising Sun file and there is a problem. No matter what RS scenario(any mode) I select the map appears momentarily and then black out. No map no units. The jump map shows the map and units. The map ...

RE: I have to ask

No this seems very much like ASL. Similar geomorphic boards, same turn phases, similar game mechanization and combat results.

RE: Unabled to Resume saved PBEM game

Uninstalled the game again and deleted all files/folders after the uninstall and cleaned the registry and then rebooted. Installed again and problem is resolved. If it happens again, I'll send you the files. I should say I am running this on Windows 10 and just had an update.

Unabled to Resume saved PBEM game

This just started tonight. I Select PBEM and then resume saved game and the screen just stays as is. Even uninstalled and reinstalled the game with no change. Task manager says middle East.exe (32 bit) not responding.

RE: Logistics/Troop & Aircraft Movement HELP!

<t> Before you can transfer AFEEs units out of certain ares you must change their HQ to another HQ like Southeast Asia, Southwest Pacific, South Pacific or ABDA-but this costs political points.&nbsp; AFEE, ABDA, Austrialia, New Zealand will not leave their area as lomng as they are assigned to that ...

RE: Where the Heck is the Confederate Draft?

<t> Thanks Joel for the quick answer. Am I correct the initial Union "draft" represents the Northern '"Volunteer" calls? I would think it would have to be as the South was actually first to institute the draft in 1862. I am curious as to why the first Union Draft has a such high political cost and ...

Where the Heck is the Confederate Draft?

<r> Union Draft Only? I have almost finished the rule book and find there is no Confederate draft. How can that be? As far as a non-political event, the Confederate Draft had more political repercussions than the North's did. Also the militia should be much harder to convert to regular army for the ...

I think you overlooked one thing.&nbsp; Germany declared war on the U.S. after it declared war on Japan eventhough it was under no obligation to.&nbsp; Think what would have happened if Hitler just shut up and did not declare war on the U.S.

And sonar???

Sonar isn't a necessity. Boat on the surface, or has periscope up, just dived.

RE: NO WAY could this really happen!

Not sure why you made this comment. In real life PT boats were on occasion outfitted with 300/600lb depth charges and did ASW patrols. Not sure what is broken.[:)]

Is Auto-convoy on in the scenarios-especially during the 'First Year' scenario. I have not seen an auto-convoy in karachi or SF. Playing against a human.

<t> I am playing the Japanese against another player in the Guadalcanal scenario. He has landed at Lae and I have reinforced. I tried a shocjk attack against him and at 48:1 odds lost 1300+ men and he lost none. I then tried a deliberate attack and got 13:1 odds. I lost 300+ and he lost 30+. I have ...

I am playing the Guadalcanal Scenario and want to return ships in Truk to Osaka/Kobe. How does one do that? I have tried creating a task force and then hit the Return to Osaka/Kobe and nothing happens. Haven't been able to find it in the manual either. Thanks[&o]</t>

No it only mines a destination. What you have to do is give it a destination of PH and a homeport of say La Haina. It will lay mines. You then just need to bring it back next turn.<br/>

RE: establishing minefields

<t> A slight variation on the theme. I have been trying to lay a minefield at Pearl Harbor using the units homeported there. The stinking TF has been sitting in the hex for a week now and hasn't dropped a single one. I had no problem mining Midway, Johnston or Palmyra Islands. It just won't mine its ...
