Why is there not a '37 or '39 Start to Grand Campaign?

I'm more of a Grand Campaign kind of guy. I suppose there is a good reason for this.

Game Fails to Launch in New Computer

I had an ASUS computer and upgraded to another ASUS that is for gaming called Asus: Republic of Gamers. The computer plays the more graphic intense games but for some reason it can't launch this series. My computer uses a GeForce GTX 1650 Series and is running Windows 11 using an AMD Ryzen 5000 ...

Re: Yugoslavia

It can be done (if the question is “if” yugo can be made an ally consistently. You put all of Germany’s and eventually Italy’s points into it, and it happens. Done it many times. The freed up Garrisons are nice but of course, you’re hosed for getting Spain (if the Allies decide to throw against you ...

Re: Different how?

Not sure this is even a possibility but perhaps blow up boxes is the way to do all the conflicts justice and allow stacking on the big map. With large expanded island maps, you really can keep to a level of realism which can be universal for all the battles. As long as the land space you're fighting ...

What’s wrong with the supply.

Mannheim HQ supported by two German HQ in Russia. Supposedly “daisy chains” supply from source but it says 0(5). Noticed this also in SC:WAW WHEN I strung three Japanese HQs in China.

Re: Nuclear War Simulator - Dev Log #5

Definitely would like breakdowns of day by day exposure levels that go out to two years plus. Avoiding radiation and not freezing to death is the first two orders of longterm planning in this situation.

Nuclear Power Plants and Enrichment Facilities

Just curious if this simulator takes these facilities into account. As military/economic targets it is very understated just how these particular facilities pose an even worse “nuclear emergency” than a nuclear war. Unlike the “one-off” of atomic detonations and fallout, these destroyed or offline ...

Re: "All In" as a standard response

It's definitely decided on turn 1. An "All In" requires immediate maneuvering and posturing. Commonwealth units take a lot of time to boat over. Dumping some research isn't a bad idea either so british corps can be started immediately. I honestly don't see a downside to "All In," because it creates ...

Re: Countering the "all in" strategy in France

Since a counter to this strategy is destroying French units as a priority to lower their national morale should that take precedence even if the UK is literally piling up units in front of Paris?
The thing about the British is that they sometimes have such a presence that they have to be reduced ...

Re: Countering the "all in" strategy in France

Having been stopped attacking France by massive numbers of English and Common Wealth units rushed to the country I am perplexed about how to counter it. Believe me, I am not delaying my attack.
David, this is a terrifying strategy and given what I know, I'm concerned myself on how to counter it ...

Re: Amphibious Transports and Logistical costs.

FALSE:
Production tech affects the base price, on which literally everything else depends (MPP and NM).

Just played a game where I teched the crap out of Production Tech and it had no effect on Amphibious Transport costs. It is purely cheaper to use any transport type by using Logistic upgrades ...

Re: DE 104 - Yougoslavia

I have a special place in my heart for this country, Yugoslavia. I agree, the British "couping around" while their own country is failing domestically seems inappropriate. I suggest giving it a <90% British Morale/London is in Axis hands modifier (or something like that) to make the event not ...

Amphibious Transports and Logistical costs.

Is it just me or does logistics lower the cost of amphibious transport costs. It doesn't say it in the manual from what I could find under logistics. Is it cheaper with Production or Logistics or neither?

Interesting smithers. I would say this works about 75% of the time. There are just a few retreats that can really mess this up but I think I got it down.

Italy Mobilization and British & French Morale

The Strategy Guide States:
Italy will normally enter the war in the spring of 1940. However, Allied movements could bring this date forward.

 If any of Gibraltar, Malta, Cairo, Tunis or Damascus are abandoned then in every turn in which this is the case, Italy can
move 1-2% towards the Axis, and ...

Re: Taking Poland on the 1st Turn-Pros and Cons?

I wouldn't even remotely argue for a Turn 2 surrender. If you can do it every time on Turn 1, do it. As said above, the income increase isn't just nice, but vital to getting what you need to take France. I've been tooling with an all in France strategy and it's brutal. You want to get ahead of that ...
