Guadalcanal opponent

I'm looking for an opponent to play the Guadalacanal scenario against. I'm new to the game, so would like to try this to learn the ropes. Happy to go either side, and I can manage 1-2 turns a day.

I'm looking for an opponent to play either a WW1 or WW2 scenario (non-Eastern Front preferably for the latter). I can manage turns most days.

RE: Jutland strategies

<t> If you post piquet lines of subs around your enemy's ports then it can serve the useful function of interdicting his movements, and providing early warning of fleet sorties.<br/>

In the Jutland scenario your carrier is unlikely to be decisive, but it can be used to attrite your opponent ...

RE: The Ne(i)lson touch

<t> As a British player of this scenario who got his arse handed to him, the key as the Japanese is to focus strength on destroying the British piecemeal. Take advantage of the British initial dispositions and try to hit the British squadrons in Hong Kong first to reduce the British numerical ...

<t> Well, the enemy are bogged down in Borneo and are attempting to reinforce it; they are unaware that I have reinforced with an Indian Brigade. However, Japanese forces have landed on Hong Kong, around 12000 men in all. Their landing has suffered heavy losses, with several transports and ...

RE: Jutland Scenario: Or how to lose your capital ships!

<t> It appears that I'm successfully sucking the enemy into a meatgrinder in Borneo. His land forces have bogged down against the Brunei garrison, whilst a light cruiser squadron under Glorious has mauled his remaining dreadnought BBs and BCs. Carrier airstrikes and sub attacks have been ...

<t> As predicted, his amphibious forces have arrived off Brunei, although the coast defence forces have mauled his troop transports. Two have been sunk and he has lost around 1000 troops and 20 guns before even getting ashore. He has, consequently moved the trasnports back out to sea. I expect he ...
