Re: Cloning Edited Units Causes Sensors To Be Mixed Up

What version are you using. I thought this was fixed in the latest public beta.

Re: Question about amphibious landings

Its also much more than just the geographical/geological/environmental factors on the beach. Access off the beach, sight lines to the beach, and nearby ports/harbors play a bigger role than just the physical nature of beach area itself. Not many commercial wargames have good enough combat system ...

Re: Issues with weather in Command

Again, the custom zone will manage the conflict, if one exists. The CZs have full lua support and setting a CZ's temp will completely override any global temp in that region.

Re: Issues with weather in Command

The attempts I have seen to use generative AI with CMO lua have all appeared to create more work than they save.

Re: Issues with weather in Command

From the manual:

Temperature affects several sensors but primarily infrared ones. During the night, man-made and mechanical objects stand out more clearly against the background on infrared sensors. Conversely, during daytime (and particularly in hot climates) IR sensor range shrinks ...

The Boston area yesterday 5 C at 5AM and 28 C at 3PM. Most of the NE US has similar temp swings in Spring and Fall. Even in winter and summer a 15 C swing is common.

"You deleted the P-18 Spoon Rest radar out of the SA-2 Guideline sensors"

my point was I knew the above. I thought it was obvious why I did it.

Re: What info would a sub actually know?

I am missing your point. I know how I built it. You don't have to tell me. It was test of comms in an IADS where attacking a central comms node disconnects search radar from the SAM. The set up is very little work to begin with and is even easier using exports and imports. You have all the tools to ...

Detailed overview of Patriot SAM

One of the more detailed overviews that seems to have a lot of direct applicability to CMO.

Re: What info would a sub actually know?

I couldn't quickly find the one I wanted to post, but here is an IADS test. The point of the exercise is a side with SAM, a side with a search radar, and a side with a common comms node. I used friend/neutral/friend sides to force all comms through the comms node. The test is to let the radar detect ...

I haven't worked with any recently. But you should be able to build one quickly. Its pretty simple. When I get some time, I'll try to find some example ones I would feel OK sharing.

Re: What info would a sub actually know?

"In CMO the information flow through different groups and branch instantly. This is something that can be tweaked in the future"

This is very doable today by the scenario designer. Using comms functions and/or multiple sides. I have built AD systems where the SAMs, search radars, observers, and ...

Re: What info would a sub actually know?

But if you are using realistic sub comms, it doesn't head there. It knows nothing of the SAG unless you ping it. I used to use separate allied sides for subs all the time, but stopped when realistic comms came on the scene. I do the same thing for older recon platforms that require base processing ...

Re: What info would a sub actually know?

1) that only works in CM if you purposely play a certain way. Click off a unit and you instantly complete all spotting reports and the complex spot reporting goes away for the player. Steel Beasts, I think, does a better job of representing reporting and radio traffic.

The beauty of the CM ...
