Gameplay by expert

<t> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
what video would you recommend as the guide how AB should be played? It seems to me that most of the let's plays are mostly unstructured/reactive. I don't see frequent LOS tool usage etc.<br/>

RE: Additional events to the event log

Yes, that's exactly what I had in mind. I'd just provide report not only when unload command is completed but also when a formation dismounts on contact due to SOP settings.

And you are right one message per formation is enough.

Additional events to the event log

<t> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
I'd like to propose few more event types to be added to the event log (with puase/slowdown config for them as well)<br/>
<br/>
- dismount completed - this I believe is an important event that should really be added. In the heat of the battle when unload order (either direct or ...

RE: Mortar points

<t> Thanks for the reply.<br/>
<br/>
I can live with it albeit is a little bit unfortunate. Given that neither dismounted mortars can be transported due to the engine limitations nor they can change a position in case they were spotted I think at least the ammo should be same for both. In other ...

Mortar points

<t> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
I've noticed that SP mortars for US (seems the same case for USSR but I have not checked others) are cheaper in points than the static ones. The SPs have even more round per tubes than the statics.<br/>
<br/>
Why is that? What is the advantage of static mortars that makes them ...

RE: "Relative spotting" and information sharing

<t> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
I'd recommend to implement the behaviour as a simple abstraction not going to tracking exact C2 network.<br/>
<br/>
Generally I'd dived the units into two groups - in-formation and out-of-formation. There will be a separate (moddable) delay value for each of the group and in ...

RE: CMO - Tacview After Action not Supported?

Hi,

one question related to Tacview realtime. As I've checked the CMO manual there is still the recorder function available. Would it be possible to record scenario play and then while replaying it to stream it again to Tacview?

Thanks

RE: Running diesel engines on diesel subs not appreciably increasing detection distance

Hi guys,

may I ask if this issue has been fixed? I've met the same behaviour but I must admit I've not tested it with the latest patch.

Thanks in advance

Effects of multi-axis attack

<t> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
I'd like to know what are the real effects of multi-axis attack. I've created a test scenario with Perry class frigate attacked from two sides with Harpoon armed Intruders. When the missiles are detected by the defender then the OODA delay is the same for missiles from both ...

RE: How to cut the toporedo wire

I am afraid it is not the case - at least 1.14 takes care to keep you under 10 kts speed and cannot be overriden.

How to cut the toporedo wire

<t> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
is it possible to cut a torpedo wire or self-destruct the torpedo on a command? Let's suppose I am stalking a submarine and I fire 2 torpedoes at her. If it is destroyed by one of them I'd like to get out of the area as fast as possible but I am limited to 10 kts speed as I've ...

Pyrpolitis - scoring

Hi,

I think the scoring for Pyrpolitis scenario is not correct. The maximum achievable score when all events fire is 850 but scoring is defined up to 1400. Should not events "GP frigate is sunk" and "AAW frigate is sunk" be made repeatable?

Thanks

RE: Ship's SSMs do not honor not use in self-defence

You are welcome!. Just may I ask you about the opinion on the second question posted - regarding WRA applications on different groups - see the original post? Was it a bug or one of the options proposed?

Thanks a lot!

[FIXED B1004] Ship's SSMs do not honor not use in self-defence

<t> Hi,<br/>
<br/>
it seems to me that WRA setting "Do not use in self-defence" is ignored for SSMs. Please see the attached scenario and WRA for mission "ASuW Patrol". Run the scenario for few seconds/minutes and monitor "SKUNK #5". When marked manually as hostile the WRA is correctly applied and ...
