Re: TOAW and drones

Having played (against myself) 8.0 Ukraine on fire 2022 and a few of the previous versions I believe they have done a good job introducing drones. It has added a new dimension to game play. Since they are air mobile they can strike behind lines fairly deep. They have been successful in airfield ...

Re: 6.0 Ukraine on fire 2022

Thanks for the great work on the scenario. The new version is certainly a bit different than the earlier ones. I have played the Russian in both. To me the replacements seem high. Units reconstitute a lot for the Ukrainians, then rush to the front and are destroyed again and again. Playing the ...

RE: Any official or custom WW2 scenarios that have Brazilians?

<t> Good day: The "Italian Campaign 1943-1945" in the WW II Mediterranean folder. It enters on turn 113. Late in the game as it has 173 turns. It comprises a HQ unit; 1 Arty Bn; 9 Eng Bn; 1 "Sapaio" Regt; 6 Regt; and 11 Regt.<br/>

Another scenario is the "Gothic Line 1944" with just the 6th ...

RE: Base Units

<t> Hellen_slith, that is an excellent answer. They do extend the range of a formation supply to the front. They are the rear area troops. The place the guns and butter go to first before redistributed to the line units. Plus the upper level mechanics, M.A.S.H. medical section, other support troops ...

RE: Operation Felix-Heinrich Gibraltar 1942

<t> It was too easy for the Axis human player to block the sea supply point off Gibraltar early in the game. The only way to secure supply to Gibraltar was to control the sea supply point. Once lost the garrison was simply wore down unsupplied, even with the II Paras as reinforcements. This can be ...

RE: Market Garden Scenarios

<t> I've played them all. The most historical OOB is Holland - A Bridge too Far 1944 -. It is 6hr turns, the other half day. So 40 turns vs 20 turns. I playtested it years ago for Erik. Trey's West Wall takes in a larger scope than the other two. It covers a longer period and the campaign in Holland ...

<t> I haven't gone into the games events to see if it was tied to other events or a turn. Congratulations for making it to turn 36. I almost wanted to give up when I reached that point playing Germans vs the PO. Knew something was coming, but dang, zero supply. Transport sharing is probably how you ...

<t> If you would like to try something a bit different, may I suggest Tim McBride's Operation Roundup. With Tim's permission, I did a rework of it for IV, "Operation Roundup 1943 Clash of Steel". It can be interesting vs the PO. I discovered that "Elmer" was becoming a formidable foe and didn't care ...

RE: Bitter Victory Siciley

Yep, that is it. Port Capacity. There was a time we thought they would create different size ports. Similar to what they did with the supply where it would have a percentage. But alas, it didn't happen. So it has no real effect on the game. It was more of an honor system with PbeM.
