Re: the ancient mariner

AFAIK over-stacking penalties only apply to casualties sustained in combat to the defender. It does not penalize the attacker however.

Re: Nice Looking Game

Hi All,

I'm watching this title, with great interest.

I like the 32bit maps to be honest. The colours are easy on the eye. The combat sounds do the job.

The only thing that has got me concerned, is the size of the manual. That is some beast lol.

I hope more titles, are in the pipeline ...

Re: QoL Request

I would not mind a map filter, similar to AAR reports, that would visually highlight a hex where a unit(s) arrived in the current turn. The report icon (mouse over) would list the unit names that arrived in the hex.

Re: PBEM Error Message:

So, I tried a test on my own computer on this

1. Started a new PBEM, issued orders as Nationalists, Saved File
2. Loaded file, entered orders as Republic, saved file
3. Just to test, tried to "Run the Turn" as Nationalist, and got the error message that PBEM Import is empty (which I expected)

Re: PBEM Error Message:

The first turn requires your opponent to put your save into his normal save folder. He issues orders normal and sends you the file

Don't ask me why. I assume this is how the opponent sets their password for their side.

You put his return file into your import and you guys should be off and running ...

Re: "Disciplina, Compostura, Vigilancia"...forming a disciplined People's Army

They are able to split pilots into different experience groups, maybe the devs can look into doing the same with devices.

Surely devices in the pool aren't just sitting on their arse, but doing drills over time.

But I suppose that is for a much larger conversation.

Re: "Disciplina, Compostura, Vigilancia"...forming a disciplined People's Army

Per the manual that answers #2

8.3 LCU Training

The highest experience rating a ground unit can gain from training
depends on the leader’s land skill. An experience rating of 50 can always be
achieved through training, but if the leaders land skill is higher, say 67, then
a 67 experience rating ...

And another quick question: How do I set the same "Planning for XY" command for all LCUs in the same hex?

Re: Troops Won't Unload

Yea, I think we're in "code" territory now and need more expertise on the matter.

I unloaded the troops and reloaded them.

I disbanded the TF and reformed them.

Nothing works in getting the troops to amphibious land. They seem to arrive alright at the designated location, just refuse to jump off ...

Re: Device Ship

I don't think the replacement mode matters that much. Is the default mode ideal, no but mostly because locations with high supply generation (such as Granada) allow for its abuse. Otherwise normally we would champion for a besieged location to eat up its stockpile of supplies. Abstractly or role ...

Rework the game editor. Its a nonsense to have it in the current state for edit the such big data. Perhaps it was ok when WitP/AE was released but its 2026 now and the game have other scale.

I am one such person who is "attracted" to large scale games. WITP is the goat and the air/naval aspects will give you a different feel than the land centric war of WIS.

Go big or go home is my wargaming motto. Small scenarios bore me.

Re: How Is the AI as an Opponent?

The AI is okay, if given enough forces and time. I feel there is just too much land (or space) for the AI to handle efficiently for the long game. There just isn't enough forces to concentrate everywhere enough to be effective.

Once you form your doomstacks to counter the AI doomstacks, it's a ...
