Yes that would make sense. But is this kind of device really working for ships?
It may be someone had an ELINT plane in mind.

Base forces under human control can grow by accident, especially when fragmented.
Several of these are in my current PBEM.
Only flak and aviation support might grow but losses will not be replaced.
Aviaton support grew up to 100 (from 30), flak was doubled I think.

Look at the editor. Adv.Nak.Engines are available in 9/43 but George in 8/43.
You have to wait.
My N1K1 will arrive in 6/43 because of accelerated production and have to wait even longer. Even more unpleasant.

I´m using two monitors frequently, never had a problem with playing WITP in windowed mode. Works fine with WITP and some tools like witpdecoder for me. Maybe a problem with your graphics accelerator or driver.

The C wasn´t missing but I was using quotation marks for the nicknames ("Claude") and forgot computers didn´t like them.
Never had problems with them during the game.
