RE: Soviet air attrition late 1942 onwards

<t> The russians suffered a general shortage of aviation grade fuel throughout the war and although by 1943 they had over 21,000 aircraft in their inventory they certainly could not fly them. The actual operational total in '43 was just over 12,000. Even so those 12,000 planes could only fly on ...

RE: Suggestion - Pretend the AI is a genius

<t> OK to a point but in the '42 campaign I got sick of the AI teleporting dozens of units vast distances to block my panzer breakthroughs. As in lots of cases it would have been impossible to get the unit there in real life it ended up being a joke and I have essentially given up playing more than ...

RE: Recon Will Not Fly

Are the air doctrine defaults the same for both sides at start?

The reason I ask is having recon set to 101% for the russians would help to simulate the utter confusion of the first turn.

The Army activation idea is also what I got from the other thread. <br/>

Why not use AP's to activate armies? It's easier and more elegant. Makes you think more about AP spending. And you wouldn't have to rewrite the supply code.
