Maximum planetary population

How is a planet´s or moon´s maximum population calculated?

I assume both size and quality play a role, presumably also planet type and possibly inhabitant race, but I can´t see any direct correlation.

As for the third problem, pack the save up as a ZIP file; I think the forum software supports only image files and ZIP files for uploads.

That sounds a lot like what I have been experiencing. Did your freezes happen during large air attacks (air strikes or cruise missiles) against fairly modern (say 1980s onwards) air defenses, like mine?

Nice little scenario.

The US fighter pilots need to be sent back to air combat school, though. The rebels fire a single .50 cal burst, shooting down an F-8; over the next hour or so, the other fighters expend 38 missiles and 70-ish cannon bursts to shoot down 4 F-80 and 2 AT-6.
