RE: Can Someone Explain This To Me?

<t> Actually, I love it. I've been trying to get my anti-merchant cruisers to do something like that. Whenever I plot a destination, it goes straight for it. So I have to gently persuade it to wander by putting in new end points every turn. How do you get someone to cruise out into "dangerous waters ...

RE: 1.3 Prev #2 or... "Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines."

<t> Please don't get me wrong. I love game candy. I especially look forward to the ship candy in the French fleet, but the sheer number of aircraft choices is making my gums ache. There are so many much more basic factors in the game that thoroughly confuse me, that adding more aircraft types make ...

RE: Room for a nursery?

<t> [:)]Thank you for the reply. I have, of course more questions.<br/>
<br/>
For one, why can't I get my land based air to target a nearby taskforce, or even an enemy port facility just two hexes away (within range of the attack squadron)?<br/>
<br/>
Also, since I am trying to experiment ...

RE: WPO Wishlist Map OOB/Map Tweaks

<t> [:D] While shopping recently in an altenate universe (careful buying in one and selling in another and you can usually pay for the trip -- currency exchanges, however, are often difficult -- never, for example, flash a roll of King Louis XXV's in a Republican France reality) , I met émigrés&nbsp ...

Planning an Invasion

<t> Wish there was a tutorial on carrying out an invasion. It would begin with organizing the transporting fleet. To attack a moderately defended atoll, what would you take? Assume that you want to build-up the airbase as quickly as you could. What would you take? Is there a percentage of supplies ...

Room for a nursery?

<t> Okay, I bought the game, cranked it up, and went into shock. Been reading the manual and tutorials, and pouring over posts. I'm so confused I can't even re-find the old posts I'm desperately trying re-read. The computer laughs at me whenever I turn away. It locks up at unrepeatable moments, and ...

RE: Any work on the early thirties?

<t> Ouch, I can appreciate the problem. I guess my love affair with the Boeing P-26A will have to remain unrequented for a bit longer. It sounds like a true 30's varient would be impossible without becoming a new game. (Out of pure ignorance, however, could one "name" an airforce in dated chunks as ...

RE: Any work on the early thirties?

Thank you for the information, but how "modern" is the aircraft database at this point? I saw a reference that aircraft types were to be added, but couldn't tell if that was an expansion in time period, or just a more complete listing pre-1931....

Any work on the early thirties?

<t> I'm quite new here and quite lost. Please forgive if my questions are obvious, but I'm trying to talk a distant friend and myself into the investment if buying and learning WPO.<br/>
