RE: Carrier Co-ordination

<t> Ok thanks guys!<br/>
<br/>
I did read somewhere in my searching that the later it got, the harder it is for Jap Carriers to Co-ordinate strikes, and the easier it is for Allied carriers? I.e. the 200 number goes down for the Japanese and up for the Allies in 1943-1944-1945?<br/>

Carrier Co-ordination

<t> Hi Gents,<br/>
<br/>
I'm after some hard and fast numbers on Carrier Co-ordination numbers? Specificity Jap Carriers. Its April 1943 and I've put KB into the perfect spot twice to dumpster on some allied cruisers and transports, but instead of the 200 aircraft strike I've been getting in 1942 ...

RE: First turn campiagn mystery

Only task forces with a (*) in their name get the Turn 1 Magic Move bonus. Check KB (TF1) for an example.

Yes, I've found this really annoying too, especially coming from WITP.

So FB on LowNavB do not have their bomb load cut in 1/2 like a non-attack bomber?

Correct, both Fighter Bombers and regular Fighters carry their full bomb load on LowN missions.

<t> I've been doing this a bit as Allies. Especially with Beaufighters, but also Fulmar IIs and even P-39s.<br/>
They carry a full bombload when doing LowN (unlike non-attack bombers), so I've been focusing on LowN instead of NavB.<br/>

Use them as a Fleet in Being.

If the Jap player doesn't know where your carriers are, they have to guard against them everywhere. Sure, strike un-covered invasion forces etc. But watch for bait, and IMO, don't get into any fight outside of land based fighter cover.

See section 8.3.3 in the manual, pages 192-3. It explains strategic movement between two off-map areas for air and ground units. Hope this helps.

Wow, cheers!

Just remember, you can transfer ground (and air) units from EC to Capetown without using ships, so you only need to ship them from CT-India.

Wait...how?

5. It is possible to advance a squadron from "carrier trained" to "carrier capable". It requires the "carrier trained" squadron spending about 3 months on a carrier. It is not possible to convert a non "carrier trained" squadron into one.<e>[/quote ...

Thanks guys, this seams to have fixed it. Seams a bit wierd that Bombers can be trained in LowN at sub 6000 feet, but Fighter-Bombers need to be at 1000 feet.
