RE: Speaking As One Who Bought RUS On GamersGate

<t> I bought the game on GG full-price a few days after the release; I'm really interested in the period. I wasn't fully satisfied and I decided to put playing on hold until a proper patch would arrive. Now it does arrive and I'm supposed to buy the game again. I understand that's how business works ...

RE: v1.03 Update Now Available in Members Club

Thanks for the answer,1925frank!

I only planned to download 1.3 after the small issues are fixed, but in this case I'll get it now and enjoy the goodies :-)

Thanks again!

RE: v1.03 Update Now Available in Members Club

Goodies? In "Private Downloads" section of the Member's Club? For CS I only see the 1.03 update and the manual, am I missing something?

Heh, nice idea :-) Did you make any scenarios involving the alien race? Anyway, maybe you could post it via Rapidshare? (And what's JSGME?)

RE: Patch???

<t> The patch notes Jason Petho posted in another thread were labeled as July the 10th. What's the reason for such a delay? And how on Earth would a patch for CS compete with a new release?<br/>
BTW, I wouldn't say a patch is a 'freebie' - frankly, I expected engineers to work properly right from ...

RE: Patch???

If so, it'd be ridiculous. They could at least make the patch available via the "update" option in the game's menu. I suspect it's not the case...

RE: The Burma Railway

I'm convinced that my major victory in this scenario was mainly due to artillery, left in the back, but positioned so that it could fire into 'interesting' hexes. (Always check the ranges!) It's easier to do this if you deliberately give up on the northern objective.

<r> I subscribe to this, such a setting is really needed.<br/>

I've discovered, though, that if you press 'v' to display visible hexes from a certain hex, and <I><s></s>then<e></e></I> press F2, the non-visible hexes will form a black background, making reading easier. Hope it helps ...

Tiny font problem - interface mods?

<r> I bought the game yesterday and I'm trying to learn how to play it. The problem is I can't play more than 10 minutes before my eyes start to water. It's the really tiny font that's bothering me. OK, I have bad eyesight, but it's perfectly fine for playing other games.<br/>
