RE: Any interest in an online league?

<t> I know I haven't been around much, or at all lately, but I'm looking for an online league as a way of getting back into MF.&nbsp; Prefer 11 man, but the particulars don't matter.&nbsp; I'll try to check back, but if you have a league you are putting together could you shoot me an email at sttfrk ...

RE: XFL stuff

I would second this suggestion.

Also, I would like to see the ability to disable the point after touchdown kick and have multiple tries from various yards out (say 1pt from the 1 yard line, 2 pts from the 2 yard line, 3pts from the 5 yard line).

Thanks!

Spring Football Chaos idea

<r> I am putting the finishing touches on some custom uniforms. Once that is complete and I get 4th down plays working to my satisfaction, I will begin a new 12 team, 11 man league (100 yard NFL type field) with the following rules:<br/>
<br/>
No punts (almost have this working well)<br/>

RE: EDITING a league after it starts.

<t> you can edit the league.mdb database. I was able to change quarters from 15 to 12 minutes, turn off fair catches, and change the ball used in a league last night.<br/>
<br/>
You'll need Microsoft Access and know what values to change them to though. I think you can use OpenOffice as well, but ...

RE: XFL Solo League

I am working on creating my own XFL league as well.  I finished up my version of the XFL ball last night.  I am looking forward to see the improved graphics you are working on.

RE: Eliminating punts in outdoor leagues

<t> I'm not sure if any one is intersted in this or not, but the best way to do it is to follow Tbirds advice and edit the teampos.dat and defaultplays.dat.&nbsp; The only downside is you'll need to backup these files up and copy/rename them if you want to play with punts enabled.&nbsp; Otherwise ...

RE: Eliminating punts in outdoor leagues

<r> Thanks for the reply. It helps a little. At least I know where to look and what things to try to change. I upped the distance from opponents goal post to 50, but still no field goal attempts. I actually set the profile exactly as Tullius posted above. It works surprisingly well in preventing ...

RE: Eliminating punts in outdoor leagues

<r> I changed the profile as Tullius suggested and that successfully prevented punts from happening, but now the AI teams will not attempt field goals.<br/>

It would be nice if the yards from opponents goal was broken down a little more or could be free form. That alone would solve the ...

so it appears possible, but not at the league level.&nbsp; I'd have to switch those files every time I played a different outdoor league.

I guess I'll test it out when I have some time.

Thanks.

RE: Eliminating punts in outdoor leagues

<t> One of the reasons I am interested in and purchased Maximum Football was for it's supposed customizability and the ability to set up various leagues.&nbsp; One of the ideas I've had for awhile was an NFL type league only without punts.&nbsp; I was also hoping to have the option to go for 3 or 5 ...

Eliminating punts in outdoor leagues

I know I've read something about this before but couldn't find it. Is it possible to prevent teams from punting in leagues played on the 100 yard field?

Thanks.

possible to add career stats to new league?

<t> I recall reading at one time that it was possible to add career stats to players when starting a new league. For instance, I have a league from another sim game that I would like to port over to MF. I will accomplish this by manually editing all the players, but I would like to also add two ...
