I think F11 is a convenience feature for the player -- the planets are background glitz only, so if a planet is making it hard to see you can just move it out of the way.&nbsp; I never use it.

Sadly, nope; the ships are limited to a top speed of around 2.0 KM/s.&nbsp; This is one of the handwaves the game makes, which also bugs me (in light of such things as Frontier: First Encounters and such, which also have true Newtonian combat).

Yes, support for Starshatter is totally lacking. I don't know if there's a reason for it or whether the developer simply gave up on it after finally hitting version 5.0.1 after so many years of work. I'd like to believe that development will resume at some point, however.

Try transferring to the ship itself. AFAIK, you can only transfer to a squadron for a fighter. For capships, you need to choose a specific ship to take over.

Again, take it with a pinch of salt -- it's been a while since I've played.
