I thought if you were from anywhere outside of Texas you were considered an alien. This fact is validated by the label on Lone Star Beer (the National beer of Texas).

<t> Remember the kids game where one person would whisper something to the person next to them and so on around the room. You compare the message at the end to what the message was at the beginning. This thread (and the ETA one) reminds me of that somewhat...we started with Lee Marvin & Capt. Roo ...

<t> Marvin did in fact make that statement (see the link)...but apparently it was a joke. I've seen this story around for years. The real gotcha is Keeshan didn't join the Marines until after the battle and Marvin was wounded on Saipan before the battle. Still both were Marines, during WW2 and ...

<r> Well...part of the story is correct...they (Marvin & Keeshan - the Capt.) were both Marines during World War 2. Marvin got the Purple Heart for action on Saipan...Keeshan never saw combat. <br/>

Governor's Request - I give

OK...the Governor of Ohio has requested 8 brigades be stationed in his state. I move 10 from Illinois over to Ohio. The Governor's request doesn't change... he still wants 8 brigades. Am I missing something? Do I have to garrison these brigades? Do they have to stay there indefinately?

I like the idea of limits on both tech point gains \ tech buildings allowed...however, I would like to see that as an option that I would be able to adjust when setting up a game.

RE: Do you play detailed battles?

<t> I've started to play the detailed combat mode along the lines as others (when it's not really lopsided), but I'm still a real noob. I thought I had it reasonably figured out and had positioned my force to come up from the flank & back of the enemy. It should have been a slaughter (common sense ...

RE: New Civil War Scenarios for Future Patches

How about fictional "what if"&nbsp;type scenario's? Something maybe&nbsp;based on Newt's books...i.e. Lee win's&nbsp;Gettysburg (Union Mill); assault on Washington; Lee&nbsp;attacks Baltimore; Lee face's off against Grant at Fredrick; etc.&nbsp;
