RE: transport problems

<t> sorry - I am at work at the minute so no access to the game.<br/>
<br/>
The troops are not from a restricted command. This is one of my standard moves for Jap turn 1 that I have used several times before.<br/>
<br/>
Troops and ships are at "kompong trach" (I think is the spelling) - just up ...

RE: Resource and industry issue - Big B

Nice to know I am not alone in this - personally I cannot see a way out of it except to call off the war in China in my game as well.

If it happens in japan then the game is over.

Resource and industry issue - Big B

<t> I have a PBEM game as Japan, Big B mod on the extended map and have a problem in China<br/>
<br/>
Resources and Heavy industry in 2 cities have just spontaneously increased - mostly in damged condition. Net result is that 2 previously small cities want over 1200 AF of garrisons, and still have ...

<t> I have never found a problem if I keep the KB in one piece. Unless one of the carriers need dock time (always seems to be Kaga) all my big carriers stay together.<br/>

The CVLs and CVEs from a min KB for secondary ops or to back up the main force.<br/>

<t> 1. Clicking on Port Arthur (twice) when trying to transfer Bettys from Truk to Port Moresby, the transfer range of the Betty is just amazing. 54 Bettys a long way from where I want them and with really tired crews.<br/>

2. Sending the Japanese CVE that starts without any aircraft (I ...

RE: Brain Teaser

<t> As I remember the movie there was more than 1 carrier, all cvl or cve. All moored closely packed and almost derelict. If they were mothballed then not much care was being taken. My guess is they were waiting to be scrapped. Pretty sure it was shot in California, not sure which city it was set in ...

Yes, Pete's were used as adhoc float-fighters when airfields weren't available, especially early on. There is another version of Pete (the Pete 'a') you can upgrade them to - which are the original floatplane version.<br/>

RE: Big B Upgrades

<t> I just started a pbem game with this mod as Japan. So far so good but I hate the float fighters. I didnt realise what they were when we started so the first few turns I will have to suffer my already at sea groups launching fighters if I miss standing any down. When they get back to port all ...

RE: Missing combat report

My opponent asked to put the historical first turn on - I prefer a pretty historical game so did not really mind. Are there problems with this. if so we can restart having only reached turn 3 ? Better to find out now than in January 1942. The first turn was fine - only went wong on the 8th.

RE: betty 2 - Nell

<t> I tend to play Japan in PBEM games and tend to leave a couple of units with Nells as part of my pilot training programme. No point in wasting Bettys in rear areas. A Nell is just as good flying ASW or naval search ops and makes an adequate naval attack plane for most of the war if I need to ...
