RE: CM:SF PREVIEW DID you see it?

Hi gents - been a while since I posted, but I feel pretty strongly about this one. I bought this one on pre-order (which was stupid, yes), but I have to say I haven't felt this burned by a game for a long long time.

Poker is for idiots or highly seasoned and talented professionals (note: you aren't one of these people). I refuse to qualify that statement. I'm sure I will be well loved from this point on.  ;)

<r> <QUOTE><s>
</s>PS Some of the stuff that happens is just surreal. For a nerdy wargamer, sitting in the comfort of his livingroom, you think, this is what real combat is like, and I am totally clueless. I'd read about "friction", but THIS is utter chaos.<e>
</e></QUOTE>

<t> Hi Neilster - do you have links to any of those drawings that show the size of modern air superiority fighters in relation to a human silhoutte? I tried googling but couldn't find any.<br/>

<r> Eh, fair comment <B><s></s>anarchyintheuk,<e></e></B> but I felt like most of those things seemed pretty contrived - as in the producer/director look at the story and thought, "Well, no one is going to buy this load of Ambrose 'Greatest Generation' BS so we better dirty it up a bit ...

Eh, i think they're both ugly as sin, but the engine nacelle (flight engineers fill me in on the real technical term here) humps really put the '23 into its own special category of disgusting asthetics. Surprised so many people find the look of it more pleasing than the -22.

Yeah, I'm a CM fanatic and so maybe my view is tainted, but I can't see this one having much sucess with CM:SF on the horizon, especially since it will also include RT play.

<r> & a mighty fine game it is - the one that finally managed to suck me into the world of "hard core" (I know people will argue this) war games. Before this I played mostly SimCity/Civilization/Railroad Tycoon style strategy games - between this and Combat Mission from battlefront i'm now firmly ...
