RE: Construction Battalions

Thanks for the response. yes, the FBD's use up movement points on turn 1, and the movement indicated on the unit is zero 2 turns later. I'll play around a little; I'm still overwhelmed with the game (uh, way of life!). Love it so far!

Construction Battalions

I used my construction battalions to repair railroads on turn one. It is now turn 3 and they still have no movement points after they were expended in turn 1. How do these units recover movement points?

<t> I'll stick my neck out based upon my 20 something hours of very enjoyable, if not always successful play as Germans in case White and Yellow (have not tried allied side yet). <br/>

This is not a direct response, but you may consider how I approach the Germans: Avoid combat; bypass enemy ...

RE: july '42 how to organize jap carriers?

<t> Would you use port attack or naval attack for docked ships?&nbsp; A little off topic, but on a uncommon valor game I found IJN ships sitting at guadacannel...I used both port attack and naval attack from a carrier force, but they never attacked the targets.&nbsp; I did so for a couple of turns ...

<t> I'm a newbie, started a game as US with computer controlling India region.&nbsp; I did not pay attention to this region while I was busy cycling through a few turns doing minimal housekeeping and awaiting new ships to arrive on the West Coast.&nbsp; Auto-convoy sent a taskforce right along the ...

US Mine Laying

<t> I have started a scenario 15 game against the computer in which I have sent both US subs and minesweepers to lay mines at choke points in the Phillipine area. I have not seen any mine symbols appear on the map as if they are not laying mines. Is there some issue why they are not laying mines and ...

Loading AP ships

<t> I'm loading up Ap's with infantry for the Japanese Turn 1 in Scenaro 16. I noticed that some units say they have a load cost for AP's of, say, 800; but when you load them the cost is alot more, such as 1500. I noticed this only after loading several task forces that I left room for supplies on ...

I send them to perimeter areas without air bases to counduct naval search. If you send them to a island, you can use a DD to fast transport some supplies to keep it stationed.

AP Load Out

<t> I have been preparing turn one as Japaneese player, going around loading troops on AP's. I have roughly doubled the TF capacity over the infantry load outs to get supplies. I suppose I was not paying attention, but when almost complete I noticed many divided units or task forces with no roof for ...
