So maybe if you did nothing for 10 years of game time the aliens would win. I wonder if this would bring up a new cutscene? Anyway, if its not totally broken (as Galactic Origins seems to have shown) then it's certainly too easy.  I haven't heard of anyone losing the game this way.

The mothership fuel meter seems to be broken. No one has ever run out of time. In fact I think it hovers near zero indefinetly.

So relax. Some people stretched the game out for over 5 years, with no problems...

Yep, it is pretty much impossible to keep the civvies alive. It depends on the alien type and the starting location of the aliens and the civvies. I once had a terror mission in which EVERY SINGLE CIVVIE survived. But that was basically a fluke...

Well, you can only take 10 troops to Earth so I wouldn't really see the point of this. I suppose if you are playing with Frankenmod and 'mortal soldiers' then it may be a worthwhile idea. You would make the money you spend on manufacture back in increased UFO raids, IMO.

jimwinsor, you don't need to play using Bman's man with death enabled. I think you'll find that most people who are passionate about this game are playing with 'immortal' soldiers for the reasons you just mentioned...
