I think you're using a mod? Unit icon resources are in resources_ui.xml, resources_ui_small.xml, resources_ui_medium.xml, resources_ui_large.xml, and resources_ui_huge.xml.

Map making working perfectly, EXCEPT how do you tell the game the elevation range you are using? I have reverse-engineered the height.bmps that come with the game and all are the standard 0-255 range that QGIS produces, yet the maps in the game have elevation ranges greater than 255. So ...

The ATGM model is a placeholder for missile units that don't have the "Infantry weapon" model set. The soldier looks like its gunner, "Infantry crew 1". The system is not really designed for what you're trying to do. I think it can be possible to replace the weapon with a soldier, but then the ...

If you want to use a soldier model as a 'weapon', you must rename the "soldier" mesh in the model to "weapon".

Is the settings launcher UI before the main menu black too? That's where you select the preferred UI scale.

Does it happen if you reduce the preferred UI scale in the settings launcher? Try 1.0x.

AB may or may not work on other operating systems, but officially AB2 requires Windows 10 or Windows 11. Mac is not supported and is not listed on the product pages.

As far as I know, it's not possible to run AB2 on Mac because of their poor OpenGL support.

There are no such triggers available yet, they will be implemented later. Now you can get creative with synced waypoints and set formation off-map times in the mission editor.

If your Surface Pro 11 has the Adreno X1-85 GPU it may not support OpenGL 4 that AB2 requires.

It's not possible to plan paths for units that are in their transports.

If you want infantry to move to forest or buildings for cover after they have been unloaded you can use the Defend command. The Pathfind SOP should be set to 'covered', and Formation can be 'free'.

The issue is that on your AMD system the LOS and other graphics are rendered in wrong spots. As a potential solution I have now implemented a different way of rendering them, and it will be included in the next patch. Hopefully that fixes the issue.

Units can be renamed in the unit specs window (press the Enter key when a unit is selected).

You can use a text editor to edit formation names in the scenario.xml file after you've saved a scenario.

Each map has a defaults.xml file in its folder. There you can change the "terrain" and "temperature" values.

Terrain:
1 = Summer
2 = Winter
3 = Jungle
4 = Desert
5 = Autumn (late)
6 = Barren
7 = Spring
8 = Autumn (early)

Temperature:
0 = Extreme cold
1 = Cold
2 = Cool
3 = Warm
4 = Hot
5 = Extreme ...
