Newbe alert. How do you use the LOS tool please.

<t> I can see how to fill in the boxes on the LOS box that comes up . A bit cumbersome as I would prefer to just click on a hex and see what they can't see greyed out perhaps. However, I have noticed that when you do select a friendly unit you can see enemy units with a red hexside around them when ...

RE: New Purchase Options for the Mega Campaigns

Just a thought.
Beings it doesn't really work that well with Windows 7 and is now really quite dated (although still worth having) How about cutting the price to something MUCH more realistic. You could have a surge of new takers............

RE: size of unit counters

Thanks Simovitch.
I used to play HTTR in 800x600 which isn't available in BFTB. In 1024x768 the HTTR counters still seem slightly bigger but that's measured against my fingernail (!) so I think you have nailed my problem.
Many thanks

size of unit counters

I know - getting old - but I find the counters a bit too small on all the maps to be able to read and see the info. They were bigger in Highway to the Reich I'm positive. Is there a button or something to just magnify them a bit??
may thanks

mouse won't autoscroll down

Mouse won't autoscroll down - it autoscrolls left, right and up - just not down. A bit weird - is it something to do with the windows 7 toolbar perhaps??

RE: Tips on Norway please

<t> Rood, JKG and MJ - many thanks indeed for the tips and moral support. This used to be a tough one in the original PG but I can't remember it being this tough!! Its great to be in there trying all over again however - in windows 7! (PG Forever almost did the business but this is worth the ...

Tips on Norway please

I seem to be overwhelmed across the board in Norway. Is there a "best point" to concentrate on? Ships in particular come out of nowhere!

<t> Sussed it!<br/>

Found something on the Nvidia control panel which gave me the option to use my display scaling ability rather than the nvidia scaling option. This cured it for all resolutions. Tried 120dpi rather than 96dpi and problem came back so it could be a combination of things ...

RE: Info Display L Side Partially Unreadable - Game Basically Unplayable

<t> I have exactly the same problem - just installed on an XP machine. Can't afford windows 7 so that is not a good fix for me! Have tried everything everyone suggested above but it looks like an XP/Vista problem maybe.<br/>
Screen dump just same as above. Hope someone is looking into this.<br ...

RE: Can you move an HQ on a truck?

That's what I'd done up to now Vic but plans had to be changed rather quickly! I keep reading about how easy it is to beat the AI+ but I'm being ***** by the AI not+ at the moment. The game is excellent by the way.

RE: Can you move an HQ on a truck?

I've had a quick look and can't see how many supplies one truck will carry. Is there a set figure? Looks like a truck can carry 20 horses though! Phew![&:]

Cheers freeboy!
I ditched 7000 odd supplies from stock and then I was off like a rocket.

Can you move an HQ on a truck?

Being dull again I know but I had snags trying to move an HQ with 20 staff and 10 trucks in it along a road at the rate I would expect a truck to go - it only went at walking pace. (Other units shot past it).
What am I doing wrong?

RE: Help with Supply please

<t> Final question. (I hope).....<br/>
The blue and grey circles only appear when someone (me or an enemy) is trying to use a supply route that crosses water - they don't appear oyherwise. Is this correct? And can a land unit excert anti supply powers in a sea ZOC - does he have ZOC in an adjacent ...

RE: Help with Supply please

<t> Many thanks Vic and especially Yoggi. I re-read Das123 and I think everything has now clicked (it was a bit beyond my understanding first time as I'd just found out how to move troops over the water - let alone what those blue and grey circles were for). Yoggi's reply has just put the icing on ...

Help with Supply please

<t> Apologies if I have missed this in other threads but after learning so much from dave74 about how to play this I only have one final aspect to master. Supply (or, in my case, lack of it). Dave74s AAR should have a link in the pdf manual by the way!<br/>

bootcamp.doc - anyone still got a copy?

I'm getting on a bit now and losing it slowly - I seem to remember though getting a word doc from somewhere to take you through the bootcamp scenarios in the "old" West Front - possibly from the wargamer?
Does anyone out there still have a copy please?
