How is the audio in the game does it have the sounds of artilery firing troops marching?

I just ordered the game but I have a few questions:

1.Is there a playable tutorial?

2.I am guessing that each country has its own strengths and weakness so for newbies what country should you play?

When I try to locate them I do not see them on the map any ideas?

How do I know what units are able?

OK!

For some reason the Engineer can not do it.I get a massage saying Rifle platoon can not lay smoke even though it can.

When the Engineers move into it the minefield still explodes and when a unit goes there it also still explodes.
Is this how it works? thanks
