Re: Wow!! Did we luck out!

As a professional coder for 35 years, I never used github, but that was then and we did have serious backups. It's definitely something that would be helfpul. But if you think that's too much of a hassle, do what I do with files I can't afford to lose: just email them to yourself and leave the last ...

RE: On-map Air Support

Lucky you! I've played it twice and never got it, or the trucks either. Followed the instructions, but no luck.

RE: IDEA

+1. I have always found it ridiculous that in some games where night gives way to day (or vice versa) that I don't know what turn that will happen on. Obviously in real life the participants know what time the sun will rise or set.

RE: JTS Napoleonic Battles' MODS

Yeah I saw that. But I doubt that that will include major graphics changes to make the 3D views playable without severe eyestrain.

Can't wait for the Peninsular War mods. Probably JTS worst graphics ever, definitely needs your touch!

Just downloaded the zip file and looked it over. Awesome! Are they all the same content, just different formatting?

RE: Tutorial '44 - Ouch! Furball! and What about the airforce?

I really appreciate the work you have put into this Oberst! But as new to this game I am somewhat confused following along. The details would mean a lot to me - how you actually plot the attacks, how many rounds you are doing in a turn, etc. But great places to experiment and learn!

Would really like a modifiable cursor. My old eyes frequently lose sight of the current one.

RE: Combat result screen

Details, details. I, too, was wondering why I didn't see any files. Needed to turn that on. The differences in understanding this very complex system between you veterans and us noobs can be very frustrating at times.

Seconded. Those of us getting up in age don't have the vision we used to.

RE: Extracting Maps

I tried the movie option and my mpg file shows nothing but place names. Is this because I have them set to float?

RE: Manual in WORD, please

If we want to buy the boxed version to get a printed manual, can we download the game itself now as we order the physical version? Or could we buy the download now and for an additional $15 get the physical stuff later?

So the update doesn't work - then how do I get to 1.0.11 from 1.0.06? Download the whole game again and re-install?

RE: What do these mean?

I suspected something like that, but since there were not reinforcements in that scenario I wasn't sure. I've read most of the manual but I guess I need to look a little closer. Thanks for the info.

What do these mean?

<r> Just started playing the game. In the second tutorial scenario I see these hexes at the top:<br/>
<br/>
<br/>
What is their significance? I am referring to the 3 hexes at the top with troop graphics and numbers 1, 2 and 3 on them. I'm trying to include an image but not sure if it is working ...

RE: Farwell

<t> I really don't sympathize with complaints about paying more or again. I have paid for WF, EF and the bundle, as well as recently ME. I'm certainly far from rich, but if you take the hours of enjoyment playing the games and divide them into the cost, please tell me where you could get anywhere ...
