RE: Quick combat setup and blockade orders

Thanks for the quick responses. I'll try instant and see if it works better in those situations. I can always use detailed, of course, but I've learned that a detailed battle with that many brigades can take a whole evening!

Quick combat setup and blockade orders

<t> Getting back into this game after a few years and a couple of issues I've run into. Hope someone is still reading this and can help.<br/>
<br/>
1) During quick combat setup, the rules say I'm supposed to be able to put up to 36 brigades on the map - one for each square in the charge, attack ...

Just a quick thought about Southern treatment of prisoners. Being a prisoner of a society where the soldiers and civilians are on a starvation diet is not a good thing. Nor is being guarded by the dregs of the society that aren't even wanted in ...

RE: Unable to advance

<t> Start the game over. (You did save your setup, didn't you? If not, you should save a setup for the TE and a couple for the CP depending on what strategy you want to use. You can use them as templates for further games and just tweak your standard setup rather than having to do it all again.)<br ...

Assuming you aren't allied to Russia, are you already at war with another nation that is at war with them? The game doesn't allow 3-way wars.

There are a few small provinces (Brunswick, Mecklenberg, Corsica, etc.) in which sometimes all of the units that exist there do not display properly. You can select these units by opening the Attachment Box for the entire province.

Don't know how I missed that; thanks.

I guess at the time I assumed that when my allies sounded the retreat it went for my forces too. Apparently not (which is good).

Another question - retreat from detailed battle

<t> The first time I lost a detailed battle I was fighting alongside a greater number of allied troops.
