Re: Newbie Questions

There is an old version of the scenario World at War (WaW) that had a pretty decent AI player for a solo all of WW2 game. I'd have to dig it out of my archives because I don't think it's in the scenario bank anymore?

ATG is in my opinion, the best game out there for a blend of strategy and tactics ...

<t> Don't forget that cruisers changed a lot during the war.<br/>
At the beginning, they were mostly smaller battleships, and by the end (like at Iwo Jima) they were full of AA that was very effective.<br/>
Carriers also changed, not just in number of aircraft carried, but in AA. At the beginning ...

As far as I know, ONLY SFT's that are of the people type Italian will disappear from the unit. I can't see any circumstance in which a GE SFT would disappear.

Whether the very complex combat algortihms make the total bonus 140% or just 120% I honestly don't know. <br/>

Mongolia Jones-
I'm not entirely certain of this, but . . .
1. I'm prettty sure it does.
2. I"m pretty sure it does.
3. I'm pretty sure it does not work that way, as far as I have been able to tell.

Yes, I've tried everything I know how, I've totally deleted them and re-put them in, plus a bunch of other things, and have not ever been able to fix that. They will move your second turn though.
My apologies.

<t> Actually, I didn't create these. They are the very nice work of Bartheart, who let me use them. He also did some of the new desert terrain and some of the different colors for grassland and ocean hexes.<br/>
You could ask him for permission to use them if creating a scenario. <br/>
They are ...

Sounds like all your opponents have been reading recent AAR's carefully and are very well prepared for you.
Good luck. Sounds like you're going to need it!

<t> JA's manpower hasn't been changed at all. I don't think that's the problem.<br/>

I didn't think to put a limit to how many times in one turn West or SU can send aid to China. THat was a HUGE oversite on my part, and Kondor ...

You're absolutely right. One reason was a simple typo, which gave China Level Bombers.<br/>
The other was a mistake in the coding, which allowed West to give them as much as West wanted to EACH turn.<br/>

RE: New idea about allies

These are great ideas GrumpyMel.
Given my time limitations, not something I'm going to pursue right now though.
I don't think the difference they'd make in the game is nearly worth all the effort it would take to make it work correctly.
