Replayability?

<t> Having watched a few videos and read on the forums I'm curious about replayability. Most who play probably prefer the 1939 scenario and if playing against the AI it seems it's preferred to play as the Axis. That seems to limit replayability. Am I missing something?<br/>

Newbie Commander question

I can not seem to find any document that discusses commanders. Am I missing it somehow in the manual? Any help appreciated!

I believe the following is correct:<br/>

Page 111 (section 4.4.4.1) of the manual explains how an attack is calculated. Basically, it uses the ATT value of the attacker and the HP of the defender.<br ...

Newbie combat strength question

<r> I thought the combat strength of an armored car was 650 when on the offensive against infantry. Can someone help me understand the relationship in the images below?<br/>

RE: When?

<r> While we wait for the next update from Steve, I thought I'd take the opportunity to post a summary of Steve's monthly postings. Hats off to him for providing all this information as he has been working on the game! It is rare to see that (actually, I don't think I've ever seen it).<br/>

Pakran, yes you can choose which field the station researches. When you right click on the location, it says the fields you want. However Athalian's idea is good. [:D]

Question about building research station

<t> Once you order a research station to be built there does not seem to be a way to determine what kind it is (weapons research, energy research, etc). Is it possible to determine this? The build queue does not seem to differentiate between the various research stations in any way.<br/>
(Yes, it ...

Another quick question: What does "quality" mean in the context of planets on the Colonly Summary screen? Is it a multiplier to resource excavation / colony popuplation etc?

RE: Colony Summary screen question

And what does the number itself signifiy? Is 21.5K "better" than 19.8K? I am not sure what it refers to.

Colony Summary screen question

A couple of questions about the Colony Summary screen (page 29 in the manual).
* What does the number followed by the letter 'K' indicate? (This is just to the right of the type of the planet/moon)
* When a resource is listed as "20%" what is the % in relation to?

Question about Free States

<t> In one of the games I am in France declared war on Munster, an ally of Austria. The game reported that Munster was now an Austrian Free State. I thought that only minors with corps could become Free States? Did I miss something in the manual?<br/>

RE: Adding a seperate Artillery counter to the game?

Well, if you make it known which corps is the artilley corps, it pretty much guarantees it has to be with the biggest stack. That removes a strategic element of the game. I am firmly against it.

RE: Reinforcement Phase

Murat is right, infantry and militia count together. That's how the board game works as well.
