<r> The last turns i always had time constraints so i didn't write further aarposts. I just finished the 13th axis turn.<br/>
Now i have some time again so it's a good opportunity for a review of the 41 operations from the axis viewpoint.<br/>

<r> The armored spearheads of AG Center spot a strong russian tank korps in Smolensk though. Will the russians counterattack ? In the south and north meanwhile our troops are marching forward without much enemy contacts.<br/>
In the south especially this might change soon though.<br/>

RE: Boron vs Archduke Rematch GPW(byBoron)

<r> Turn 6 saw little action, in turn 7 Arch once again tried to compete for air superiority in the center, resulting in 9 destroyed fighters vs. 2 axis fighters lost. This way his ground troops get 1 turn resting time, but this tactic is costly.<br/>

<r> Turn 5 was another turn consisting mainly of marching forward. But some leftover pockets got sacked too, so the soviets had decent losses.<br/>

RE: Boron vs Archduke Rematch GPW(byBoron)

<r> Turn 5:<br/>
<br/>
I hoped to annilihate Archs Center Airforce and amassed every available AG North and Center fighter. Seems though that Arch put his fighters on quick retreat, probably 25% losses. So the result is annoying given the committed forces for that task. At least their readiness ...

<r> Currently Powerpointswise german strength is 17648, russian strength 15274 pp. <br/>
Kills and losses have constantly declined since we are both running currently. Arch is trying to save as many of his troops as possible whereas i try to reach my operational goals for my 41 campaign asap ...

RE: Boron vs Archduke Rematch GPW(byBoron)

<r> The situation for AG Center is quite interesting. Here i think Arch did hurt himself more with his bridgeblowing than AG Center. Minsk is nearly cut of from supply now. So my fast forces ignore Minsk and head for Smolensk. The catching up infantry divisions can take Minsk in a few turns then.<br ...

RE: Boron vs Archduke Rematch GPW(byBoron)

<r> We are at turn 4 already. Arch annoyingly uses "Hitler's Wellenbrecherstrategy". He is blowing up every bridge and leaves strong Kampfgruppen in nearly every city. So far it seems to work rather well. You can see them even in the strategic overview:<br/>

I'll try to post some screens this time too.

In my first turn i did not aim at maximizing soviet losses though because i regrouped instead somewhat already.

RE: Boron vs Archduke GPWbyBoron

<t> Greetings. I took a rather long break from at (about 3 months) but now have enough time again for some pbem. Our match is starting to get very interesting, i just fear the russians might need a bit more of a boost eventually. 4 months ago i played almost the same scenario with Archduke, i was ...

RE: Victoriam speramus - Russia 41 with Seille, this time as germans

<t> Hm the russians only need a little bonus. Maybe they could get some medium tanks and have medium and heavy tanks level 1 researched from start? After all the russians had lots of t-34 and kv-1 when the war broke out and till 1942 with the panzer IV F2 and following versions the german tanks had ...

RE: Victoriam speramus - Russia 41 with Seille, this time as germans

<r> Seille continues to maneuver well. Only minor losses for the germans once more. Losses of the januar 8th turn. Very annoying for the poor russians.<br/>

RE: New Great Patriotic War Scenario

<t> Found a glitch. Clear weather only changes movement types 0-5, but the other weather events also movement type 7 (land transfer) and 9 (supply). So once 1941 the good weather is over you always suffer from reduced supply and land transfer. And since mud period is after the winter you should ...

RE: Victoriam speramus - Russia 41 with Seille, this time as germans

<t> Despite the winter bonus the russians suffer more casualities than the germans. Only in the center where Seille might have had trouble he evades just enough. He does this even better than i did in our former 2 games. My forward troops he can bomb with artillery now in case he decides to stay ...

RE: Victoriam speramus - Russia 41 with Seille, this time as germans

<t> Seilles Kharkov attack was indeed a good one. I decided to try to get his artillery with my HQ attacking, it was the only unit with enough mobility left, but this attack stalled. It's very problematic, if i don't attack a bit this turn already then Seille can run away in the next turn avoiding ...

RE: WW1-Scenario - Discussion and brainstorming

<r> Currently my idea regarding revolutions is to try to model an abstract and very light economy.<br/>
<br/>
There will be a couple of producing locations, similiar to the GPW-Scenario. Some will build only supply, some only pp, some only ships, some troops and some artillery/tanks.<br/>

RE: Victoriam speramus - Russia 41 with Seille, this time as germans

<r> This turn only limited counterattacks, the russians are too exhausted. And Seille has too much luck with the research events. I got none so far while Seille probably got 3, he has already artillery II, Rifle II, Fighter III and Mortar II <SM sm="fighting0045.gif">[sm=fighting0045.gif]</SM>.<br ...

.pbem is a different cat. I'm playing two 4-player games of "Pickem" at the moment (among others) and it is just a riot of activity. The scenario is in the <Fictional> <Human> folder if you like to review it. Yes, you have to wait for a turn file ...

RE: Victoriam speramus - Russia 41 with Seille, this time as germans

<r> Overall again a bloody turn. Axis also lost 12 Mortar II.<br/>
So the totals are 60k for the russians, 108k for the germans.<br/>
<br/>
Soon most forces of both sides will be severly exhausted probably.<br/>
