William has done an excellent job on the maps.

They are works of art in their own right.

<t> Check the War Room for tips as well. It is one of the threads pinned to the top of the page.<br/>

The main difference I see between modern combat and WW2 combat is the speed of operations. Modern combat takes place at a very fast pace. Until you can get yourself to plan ahead of what is ...

RE: Scenario: Eyes, Ears and Teeth

<t> The map error would be mine. <br/>
<br/>
I'm not sure how this happened exactly. When I make scenarios for the game I either use one of the maps that we have that already covers the area in question or I make a new map and have William work his majic on it. <br/>

The fact that this ...

Now that it's time to start to apply all the Southern Storm specific changes to the scenarios it is time for me to get active with the game ...

Where can I find a complete scenario list, both for the base game and the DLC? Curious if there are any US 3AD scenarios from when I served in Germany with the division.

RE: Soviet Mot. Inf Co. in FCRS scenarios

<t> Nice of Jim to give me the credit for all the scenarios in the game. The truth is that I did do 'most' of them.<br/>
<br/>
Those scenarios were created multiple updates ago. When they were created the BMP's were all models with ATGM's. Over the course of time and multiple updates that may have ...

RE: Southern Storm

<t> Sorry to tell you all we've decided to stop creating any more games in the series. Too much work for the team, who are mostly doing this in their 'spare time'. So, Red Storm will be the one and only game in the series. Thanks for your support. We've appreciated each of you.<br/>

<t> "A Time To Dance" seems to have caught people's attention. <br/>
<br/>
It has a storied history. <br/>
<br/>
I created this scenario as the introduction to the game. As such the US units are leaving the Kaserne (base) as they activate. That makes them appear to show up out of thin air! [X ...

RE: Southern Storm

<t> This is an easy one to create. There are ways to adjust what a unit has in the editor. Simply go in and remove the vehicles and you have leg infantry units.<br/>

The scenario 'Purple One' is a good example of that.<br/>

Airborne/Airmobile are a bit more challenging since RS doesn ...

RE: AI has a tendency to send Tanks into the town, Mech inf to open

<t> Yes. Equipment density can be a problem. If there is a high density the AI will bypass the area where the density is high. So, if tanks were going down the road and got stopped the follow up infantry could get detoured out into open ground.<br/>
<br/>
Hope this helps.<br/>

RE: New era of concern ... current events versus WWII

<t> Current events as wargames are often less than desirable as a designer. <br/>
<br/>
You have to be aware that you can get:<br/>
<br/>
1. Very political, very quickly.<br/>
<br/>
2. Have people that were there if it's a historical event, who may be still trying to deal with the events.<br ...
