RE: Reinforcible Units No Longer Show Green Strength Number

<t> My point is, I think a small bug has been introduced somewhere. Since I got the game and started playing it, if you had an understrength unit that could be reinforced, it strength number would be displayed in green. Lately, that has not been the case. The strength number shows up in white, even ...

RE: Reinforcible Units No Longer Show Green Strength Number

That doesn't do it, at least not on my machine. That just takes away the green possible upgrades. Units that can be reinforced don't show their strength in green either way.

Reinforcible Units No Longer Show Green Strength Number

<t> Not sure when this happened, I assume with 1.15.02, and I admit that it is a minor point, but on my game, when a unit can be reinforced, the strength number no longer shows up in green but just looks white. Since I got the game, they had always shown green if you can reinforce. The upgrade ...

What triggers USSR entry?

<t> I ask because I have been patiently building up forces for a surprise attack, and now that I am finally ready (May 29, 1941), the USSR always DOWs me first!<br/>
<br/>
This has never happened before. I do note that, for the first time, I have taken Cairo before I have begun Barbarossa. Could ...

RE: Fall of France criteria?

<t> The reason I want to turn it around fast is because I find it very difficult to get ready for Barbarossa on time and on budget. There isn't much margin for error.<br/>

I have no idea how anyone does Sealion AND Barbarossa. Seems impossible to me give resource constraints, but I admit I ...

RE: Fall of France criteria?

NM is at 45%, which is lower than where it was in the prior game when France surrendered. There must be something I did last time that I did not do this time, but I don't know what it is.

Thanks!

RE: Fall of France criteria?

<t> Some additional detail. Position-wise, both games are about the same. Actually, in the second (in which France will NOT surrender after the fall of Paris) I am a bit deeper into the country and control a few more cities. In terms of units destroyed, it's 22 for the current game and 18 for the ...

Fall of France criteria?

<r> Anyone know <I><s></s>specifically <e></e></I>what causes France to surrender? I can always take Paris in three turns but the surrender usually takes four.<br/>
<br/>
However I recently played a game in which, for the first (and only) time, France surrendered immediately after the fall ...

Anti-Air Unit Range

Does anyone know the effective range of AA units? It looks to me like the hex they are on, plus the six surrounding hexes. Is that correct? I can't find this in in the manual.

Thanks!

Placing new units

<t> Normally when you get a new unit, you can place it in any city or in any of the six hexes surrounding that city.<br/>
<br/>
The one exception I've noticed is the tank you get on March 23, 1940. It's very limited where you can place it, usually well back from the front. Anyone know why?<br ...

RE: Supply Question

I get that. What's odd is that I was in a desert hex (no resource) at 8 and the next desert hex to it was giving me 5. But as for El Alamein, I see that it's been damaged and that accounts for bad supply there.

RE: Supply Question

I read the book and can't find the answer. If supply were disrupted by Malta, I would understand, but it's not. There doesn't seem to be any reason that I can detect.

Supply Question

<t> 1.15 against the AI.<br/>
<br/>
I've got an Italian HQ in NA, two hexes west of El Alamein, which I have taken. I also have held Malta for several turns.<br/>
<br/>
The HQ is currently generating supply 8. But if I move it east, even one hex, or two into El Alamein, the predicted supply for ...

Why Aren't My Fighters Intercepting?

<t> Playing 1.15 against the AI. Have two fighter squadrons in Northern France, one just outside Paris, the other next to Brussels. Both fighters are set to "Intercept." I also have two AA units, one on Mons, the other on Loos. And there is an HQ in Paris to which all these units are attached.<br ...

When I use naval units to attack land targets, they always and only attack the resource. Is there any way to have them attack the enemy units?

RE: More Supply Qs

<t> Thanks. Still confused, though.<br/>
<br/>
My HQ is about halfway between Perm and Kirov. I hold Kirov, whose supply is 5. The HQ reads 0 (5), which I understand from your tutorial means it is in a zero supply hex but actually supplied at 5. When I press "S" the green number says "5" but turn ...
