RE: Berserk! sveint(Axis) vs Sillyflower(Allies)

<t> To bad that this kind of games are highly unrealistic, no way germany could have fielded 3 times more panzers then in reality. <br/>
These kind of games do a poor job as a historical simulation, not that they are not fun to play.<br/>
Knowing what the historical situation was , it is ...

RE: Naval attack at 1000 feet : is it normal?

<t> It seems that often people try to correct mistakes they make with a house rule. There is always a trade off between a tactic you choose and the results you get.<br/>
One should ask himself what the reason is why they find themselves in this situation . <br/>
In my opinion, to many games have ...

Indeed, starting a hame with no rules and then find out that you have some problems with the game is not a good way to start a game.

RE: looking for opponent

The Japanese player gave up because the allies bombed his ships at anchor in ports with wich he could not live.
His choice, I think it would be wiser not to anchor in range of allied bombers .

RE: Checklist for house rules

We are using two rules that favor the allies - No 4E naval attacks below 10k and a rule that limits night bombing. Other than that, the rules are either neutral or favor the allies.

And how do these rules favour the allies ?

Helping eachother out, arguments to use to calm the wife

<t> It seems that some players are bullied around by their wife/partner/gaylord, maybey they lack arguments to convince them that wargaming is not such a bad deal. <br/>
To help them out i suggest to come up with some arguments that can be used to convince them.<br/>
Some ideas :<br/>

minelaying problem

I have 2 ships wich refuse to lay mines, the TF was created at the base where they should lay mines, destination and home port are the same, they start at their destination but no mines are deployed. Any ideas ? I have lay mines switched on .

RE: Palembang in ruins

That point (concentration in one hex ) goes for other bases also, unless the production is concentrated at one point ( mines for resources ) one could argue a case for spreading al resources and oil on the map.
