<t> I consider myself part of that cult, so you have to take what I'm saying with a grain of salt[;)]<br/>
<br/>
7.62 is&nbsp; a tactical squad game where you can control up to 6 mercs. It uses the SPM(Smart Pause Mode) system intead of turn-based, which means that instead of turns everything is ...

Quick tip: Right-click on table_values.lua and select "Open With" Firefox or internet explorer. You'll get the cyrillic instead of gibberish and can then translate it with an online translator. Good Luck

RE: Hired Guns Reinforced

<t> I have a small request Reinforce. In your current mod the G36 has a range of 100(95) with a laser while the G36C has a range of 110(80) with laser and sight attachments. This is a bit wierd since the G36 is supposed to have a 1.5x and a 3.5x scope and a longer barrel.This will be even more ...

RE: Reality vs. Playability

<t> I don't play these kind of games to experience realism but rather to solve tactical problems. I don't care that you can't jump some fences or other things as long as the AI can't do it. It's a game, and a game has rules, otherwise there is no joy in playing it. As long as those rules apply to me ...

RE: Weapon Damage

There is a shotgun that you can shoot 2 shots in one turn, the Mag-7. It hasn't a low weight but is very good as a back-up weapon for those sticky situations. I've had some nice close up and pers'nal kills with that one[:D]

RE: Weapon Damage

<t> As Hard Sarge said, they are useful if used correctly. I agree with that. I think that they are only useful in the beginning of the game. Is that better LimeyBugger? You can use another merc to first shoot off the helmet and then finish him off with the shotgun. It's waht I do when presented ...

RE: Weapon Damage

<t> I agree with Hard Sarge on this one. Shotguns are useful, but only in the beginning of the game. Once the enemy starts wearing good armor they are pretty useless, unless you are close and do a double head-shot, first shooting off the helmet and then get a clean head-shot.<br/>

RE: Hired Guns Reinforced

<t> Slick Wilhelm reported some CTD's in another thread but I haven't experienced those yet. Must have to do with some syntax error on weapons that has been added, my guess is one of the guns you get later in the game. I've captured 10 sectors for Janus and no unusual CTD's. Or mebbe he's using a ...

That sure is one "magic" bullet, Sean. [Insert favorite JFK joke here]. The best I can come up with is "do they manufacture those in that caliber".

You got to love the physics in this game:)

RE: Killing or Not Killing "The Dictator"

<t> I've experienced the missing Dic when playing the Janus campaign(first beta patch and all sectors under my control). When playing the marauders and Butsi campaigns he was in the room Hard Sarge and Slick Wilhelm mentions. I'm currently playing a new campaign (first offical patch)and I made a ...

RE: question: night fighting?

Is it just me or does the day/night cycle seem to be reversed on some maps, the airport being one of them? On that map I've been able to spot enemies further away at night than I'm able to do at day using the same merc with the same weapon.

RE: Favorite Kill

<t> My favorite kill is a multiple one. It was at the palace and there were 5 enemies clustered by the gate. With a burst with the MM-1 launcher I managed to get them all. And do some damage to two other guys proned behind the sandbags by the gate. Here's a tip, the burst starts from the left and ...

I've experienced the same thing and always look in the enemy direction before shooting off that first bullet. Could be superstition[:D].

RE: AP and costs

Thanks Reinforce. I guess my assumption about scoped rifles are wrong. Or could it be that the "first shot" penalty gets added when re-acquiring a target with a scope?

Reinforce, do you know the actual AP cost for re-acquiring a target? Or are they still MIA?

RE: AP and costs

<t> I think there is also a 1 AP cost if you have to re-acquire the target. If the enemy falls down you'll have to do that and the AI doesn't calculate that until the target stops bouncing around, hence the 8/8 and then the 9/8 cost. <br/>
<br/>
There might be a higher AP cost with scoped rifles ...
