RE: still playing... and loving it!

I run it on 10 and an Intel Graphics 530. Not exactly a high powered set up. I don't have many problems -- minor graphics issues, usually in detail combat and usually when I forget to turn off PC sleep.

RE: Patch?

<t> [:(]FWIW I'm not buying any more Matrix games. At least not until this one is fixed. I know I'll offend here - and I'm sorry about that, because I also know the Western Civ and Matrix people do have lots to do and generally do it well and with courtesy and professionalism - but my experience wit...

How do you tell what your national waste is?

RE: Glory and Relationship

I haven't noticed a correlation on this either (but I'm not an expert).&nbsp; Sort of wonder if there should be, though.&nbsp; Or else an affect on the amount of glory you win from battles or lose if you surrender, etc.

<r> Backspace didn't work for builds.&nbsp; Well, it might, but if there are too many intervening orders it will eventually lose track.&nbsp; Easy to undo moves, but eventually I start getting messages like "Undo *#@$)!_)~" and that's when I know I've hit the Wall.&nbsp; BTW production o...

how to stop production?

<r> Dumb question - can you "undo" a production order? Somehow I've got the landlocked Russian province of Kovel building a fleet. I won't say how ridiculous it is for this to even be possible. <E>:)</E> Don't know what I clicked, I just know I inadvertently clicked on the screen somewhere and this ...

<t> Yeah, I had a run-in with Johnny Turk.&nbsp; Was able to win the war but going off to fight in Bessarabia allows other powers (Prussia, Austria) to swell up and become nuisances.&nbsp; My economy is doing swell now but I still have no army - not in comparison to the powers I'm fighting a...

RE: Learning the Dark Arts (trade)

Ok! Taking you're advice to heart and am focusing on development first - esp. cutting waste - so building courts and a few banks, then farms and factories. Things are going a little better in the new game, it seems.

Thanks!

Learning the Dark Arts (trade)

<t> I like playing advanced economy, but can't seem to make enough money in either it or simple economy. I've already decided (perhaps prematurely, I admit) that turning on all the experts is a bad idea. The main trouble seems to be raising enough troops to contend with the AI (who always seems to h...

<t> Well it was sort of a joke - a cover for the fact that I find the game very challenging! Basically I can't ever seem to make money and am always chasing off after revolts (Russia). In other words, I find it hard to have enough troops and also have a good economy. And I always seem to get into a ...

RE: Making checks for changing formation

<t> Sorry for the tardy response, here. Sometimes real life gets in the way!<br/> <br/> My original thinking was that a 10% chance (or a 30% chance, or whatever) should be an absolute 10% chance no matter how many times you do it. Otherwise, why call it 10%? But my mathematical shortcomings did make...
