RE: Campaigns

<t> Personally, I like the DCG's better. I like the way they combine the affects of history i.e. geographically you fight in the historic area and how often you fight generally corresponds to the historical pace. I also like playing a campaign where your units get upgraded, i.e. PzIIIF to PzIIIH to ...

<t> Though I believe people have a right to provide constructive criticism, I am hoping all this ruckus will die down once people get used to the new positions of the icons. Once familiar with where they are it will become second nature where to click. <br/>

RE: So is update 1.05 dead in the water or what?

<t> I appreciate that there is a voice out there pointing out how much time it is taking for changes to be made to this great game, but Deputy, I am finding your posts a little negative. You have made your point, either accept that what you have is the game and that's it, or wait patiently with the ...

RE: Do you prefer 3D or 2D?

I use 2D when I want an overall picture of the battle and to fire artillery, 3D when I am close to the enemy or I want to see the cool units. [:)]

Campaign Series is a great game

<t> I played JTCS last night for the first time in a couple of months and I just wanted to say how much I enjoy this game. I tried the demo for Battle Academy a couple of days ago and, though it is a good game, I much prefer JTCS. In fact, I have yet to find a computer wargame I enjoy as much as the ...

RE: Patch 1.o5 request

<t> I think transport airplanes are already taken into account by the ability to deploy paratroops. Integrating more naval aspects into the game is an interesting idea, but I am not sure the current engine setup would support it well. I think a lot of us would agree that the pacific theater could ...

RE: Expanding JTCS for Earlier Periods

<t> Formations of course would have to be included as the game progressed back in time. Currently, combat effectiveness is affected by base capability, strength points, cover etc. Formation would become another factor, both for offensive and defensive capability. Using different graphics files for ...

Expanding JTCS for Earlier Periods

<t> I know that JTCS is being expanded to include the modern period and that is great, but are there any plans for using the engine to expand into earlier periods like WWI, ACW, Napoleonic, and even earlier? I suppose some engine tweaks might be required to factor in unit cohesion, but from my ...

RE: MCS User WISHLIST

<t> One thing I would like to see fixed is leader movement rates. It is a little frustrating when a leader cannot keep up with a tank formation across difficult terrain. You would think that, no matter what unit type it is, the appropriate leader would be able to move as fast as his troops.<br ...

RE: Inspirations for upcoming relases (1.06...)

I know this has been mentioned elsewhere but Jason can you add having a setup phase for Generated battles to the list?&nbsp; It sure would be nice to have a generated battle without having your units thrown down in a haphazard manner.

Hi Jason,

I would like to see a separate option in 1.05 to slow down aircraft when they attack. Often times, they go by so quickly I can't get a good look at them.
