Re: Bottlenecks occur in surprising places

Almost feels like payback for earlier sea battles.

There's some serious repair time for both of you.

Yes, it was satisfying to demolish Admiral Phillips light cruiser fleet.

In discussing with LST it seems that the plan was to wear down the battleship SAG and then pounce with the larger SAG ...

Yeah I thought you would say it was worse than you wanted. He's been doing some fine surprises in the naval department.

Re: Bottlenecks occur in surprising places

What's your take on losses so far, SJ?

More or less than expected or "just about right" ;) ?

Hi zebrazwo. It is far from “just about right” . Certainly, way more than I would want but LST is not messing around, and his active defence is having success.

Re: Bottlenecks occur in surprising places

Well, you said it well. All I can add is "Ouch!".

We've all done this before, sadly, I know I will do it yet again ... hopefully you won't. ;)

It's a long game, CL's are fairly useless (just bigger, slower DD's with less firepower), if you save the CA, you haven't lost much.

Re: Bottlenecks occur in surprising places

Hi zebrazwo. The idea to split up and deal with little ships everywher was good. My excution of movement orders this turn was not so good. Maybe a little more in control... maybe. Between LST making things tricky and me making so questionable calls it has been a tough opening.

31 December 1941 ...
