RE: Napoleon in Italy on Windows 7

<t> Hmmm... I tried the fix suggested by Hussar games but it totally mucks up the rest of the display settings of my computer - which just to play a game is unacceptable. Having spent over $50 to purchase Nap In Italy, I'm thinking I've wasted my money. I don't suppose a better fix or return/refund ...

RE: Campaigns on the Danube: ARRRGHHHHH!

I'd like to acknowledge that Frank Hunter, the designer, contacted me and provided the key missing file that was making CotD unusuable.&nbsp; Since then it seems to be behaving itself.&nbsp; Thank you Frank. :)

BattleBack graphic bug fixable

My version of CotD choked at the 'battleback.bmp' for the graphics folder. Frank Hunter was kind enough to send me a copy of the file. I don't seem to be able to attach it to the post here, so if you need it too feel welcome email me and I'll send it to you too.

<r> I shall try that and see if the missing file(s) turn up.&nbsp; However, given your last paragraph and my experience, you can understand my disappointment.&nbsp; I don't imagine anyone feels great when they've paid money for something that fails to work. <E>:(</E><br/>

RE: EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED with CotD

<r> Thanks very much Mallak. <br/>
<br/>
Alas, it's <I><s></s>not <e></e></I>a solution. The files are all saved OUTSIDE the programs files in their own folder: C:\Matrix Games\Campaigns on the Danube 1805 & 1809<br/>

ALL the patches save into this folder (I've just checked).<br ...

EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED with CotD

<r> Sorry to post a grizzle but I am SO frustrated with CotD. I LOVE the concept & I WANT to use it in partnership with the forthcoming Les Grognards from Histwar.com (in fact another LG player-to-be proposed using CotD to generate our first battle(s) but the CotD just won't work so that idea is a ...

RE: won't start

Not fully in my experience, it won't. It still manages to collapse somewhere along the line and error messgaes appear throughout the parts that do run... *sigh*

RE: Is the computer game just like the Miniatures game?

<t> 1. Is it multiplayer in that I can set up two laptops on my kitchen table and fight a friend right there (via my wireless modem)?<br/>
<br/>
2. Is it really stable and reliable on XP and VISTA?<br/>
<br/>
3. Does it have unit and terrain editors that allow you to play a wide range of eras ...

Looking for opponents

Haven't managed to get a PBEM game of this game going yet, after having had it for well over a month.

Anyone around for a game? email harryink@gmail.com

No.&nbsp; But I will be upgrading to one soon, though I expect to be running XP on it anyway. Thanks for the tip.&nbsp; Still doesn't answer the question from Matrix's POV though... :)

RE: COTD Hang Issue

<t> Thanks to Jacket. I too am a recent purchaser of Campaigns on the Danube. I have a desktop running XP and a work laptop installed with Vista. I'd love to have it on the Vista laptop just cos it's much more pleasant sitting at the kitchen table than holed up in the study, hunched over yet another ...

RE: Windows Vista compatability

It would be nice to have a PATCH that makes CotD Vista-compatible. Is that possible? Having just recently bought it, I'd like to maximise my use of the game and my impression of Matrix's support.
