Training Flights - supply burn?

<t> I am early in the Japanese game and want to build as much skill as I can into standing squadrons. Does a plane on a training mission use the same amount of supply as a combat mission. Particularly does a ground bomber use the same whilst training as it does whilst attacking(because that is ...

<br/>

RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.9.2 Available!

<t> Hi all, big thanks for this program guys. Not sure how the Japanese player would stay sane without it. Now I am going to ask a real numpty question but is there a manual or a site where players discuss how they use it? The level of detail now available is awesome and most of it can be worked out ...

torpedoes freom HQ's not at a base

<t> I get that HQ's and Base forces with Torps in their toe can supply from the base they are at, as can Command HQ's except they do not need a reserve level setting. As I understand it they can all also do this within their command radius. Does this mean that if I were to base the SA Fleet HQ (it ...

I'm moving towards a quick grab and then using for search and SS base i.e keeping just enough there to be a nuisance and with a quick exit strategy for any higher value assets.

Is Midway worth it?

<t> Hi all, have been away for a while and now setting up a new campaign as Japan. Reviewing all my old notes of invasion targets I am wondering whether Midway is worth it? It looks impressive and gives some early warning of allied TF's and i am sure it also acts as a target thereby protecting ...

I didn't say i'd use less troops!

Playing the campaign format with the 150c update when I start Case Yellow it is automatically treating me as if I had opted to use less troops. I either get the "you opted to" screen or the "because you opted to".

Help!

Chris

designs not automatically uploading

<t> I have an almost complete set of Boskarans designs but have installed the Beta 1.7.0.14 and only some have autoloaded. Colony ships, construction and stations have all transferred into the new version but military ships haven't. I can load them one at a time but if I start a new game they ...

<t> suddenly started getting "x stranded in Astra Prime" messages - loads of them. have gone to planet and there is no obvious creature or attacker. When is a torpedo bomber not a torpedo bomber?

<t> Lots of great stuff about altitude effects scattered across this forum but when a Kate (or other Single engined torpedo bomber) is using bombs due to the non availability of torpedos. Is it teated as a dive bomber or as a level bomber. i.e what is the most effective altitude to set your attack ...

RE: loading rates - quick question

<t> sorted, a little bit of playing shows it is the bigger number so for instance a ship in a size 10 port loads 10,000 units of fuel over a full day (2 x 12 hr cycles) but if a 200 refinery is present it loads 11,800 (10,000 + half of its fuel production(1800) each cycle).<br/>

loading rates - quick question

<t> I am facing the fun maths of planning convoys for Japan in the Grand Campaign and want to sort load rates out for some of my ports. In the Mnual it says " Refineries in crease the ship load rate equal to one half of daily production"(this is a cut from a long paragragh that refers to Oil ...
