Re: Toolbar size

I am on an iMac with a 27 inch screen, I use VM Ware for Windows. I generally have to set the resolution much smaller to account for the HDD screen. Maybe try that? I do the same on my Asus Zenbook S13 13" 4K display. Scaling doesn’t really help, but setting the display to HD and adjusting the...

Re: Sneak Peeks, Coming Attractions, Works-In-Progress Redux

In today's sneak peek, a wish list item ticked off the list: an Airstrike version affecting the whole targeted hex. For now, we had two types of Airstrikes: The "classic" one, where an airstrike randomly picks a unit from the targeted hex and attacks that one. The B-52 ARC mission, that no...

Re: White Screen

The white screen issue is worrying and could hurt the game’s reputation, especially for new players. A quick fix or official workaround is needed to keep player trust. Hello encore, While this issue seems to have been triggered by a Windows update and resolved with an NVIDIA driver update, we also ...

Re: Feature request: non-modal Scenario Briefing and Organization dialogs

Scenario Briefing will be non-modal in the next update, see the Sneak Peek post HERE . Jump Dialog and Find Organizations are on my wish list, too, but they are more complex beasts. Their content would need to be updated and redrawn everytime a unit moves, as unit locations would need to be updated ...

Re: Sneak Peeks, Coming Attractions, Works-In-Progress

Copying this post here, too. Per popular request: support for multiple display with Scrolling > Screen Edge option. I have now put in place code that defines a larger area with left and right screen edges (70 pixels) while only slightly extending the top and bottom scroll trigger areas (5 pixels). V...

Re: Campaign Series: Vietnam patch V2.00.03 out now

Thank you, saraviga!

As always: before installing any new updates, please ensure that all game modifications are disabled using the JSGME tool, if you had previously enabled any of them. This is important.

Re: Sneak Peeks, Coming Attractions, Works-In-Progress Redux

From the Vietnam Tech Support subforum: a request to have screen edge scrolling supporting multiple displays . In other words, only scroll when cursor near the edges of the display where the game window resides. Once you leave that display to your other display(s), scrolling should stop. Implemented...

Re: Bug with static all toolbar and problem with scrolling

Sat down today to implement this. Available in the next Update. I set an area of 70 px wide around the screen edges that invoke each of the scroll directions. Once you exit the display the game runs on, it stops scrolling. Edit Available in 2.00.04, that is. The release version (2.00.03) of the cur...

Re: Bug with static all toolbar and problem with scrolling

Not really. Scroll bars are a pain. Couldn't you have a hotkey or something that makes the mouse loses focus on the game window so the user can go to another window? True that. I'll have a look if I can alter the mouse focus area to notice just the screen edge and when not near it, whether approach...

Re: Scrolling is very sluggish (2.00.02)

Uh... I can answer myself. I just found out that DISABLING 3D via scenario selection dialog IS actually A PROBLEM. With 3D enabled, scrolling in 2D views works completely fine, even with labels and smooth scrolling enabled! So, I guess, problem solved. Thank you for reporting this. The "No 3D&...

Re: Bug with static all toolbar and problem with scrolling

Oh wow, thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have not used the Static toolbar since ages either. Having checked this with older versions, it has been around at least since VN 1.30 (and ME 2.30) from March 2023. Edit: yep, that's when those speed buttons made their apperance. 1.23, the pr...

Re: Bug with static all toolbar and problem with scrolling

(Updated to the new beta) When you set the toolbar to static all, the circled buttons have the wrong images for their function, the mouseover tip is correct for the actual function. toolbar.JPG Oh wow, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Known issues: Since the files are not encrypted, you'll have to use desktop shortcuts for the OOB- and the scenario editor with the "-W -X" parameters (meorg.exe -W -X , meedit.exe -W -X). Using the corresponding buttons of the launcher will lead to a seemingly endless series of error mes...

Re: White Screen

Checked thed BIOS and there's no option to disabled the integrated graphics. I've set the Global Settings in the Nvidia Control Panel to use the dedicated graphics card (i.e. for every programme), and done something similar in Windows (Settings / System / Display / Graphics), but neither has made a...

Re: the AI

Hello, My wargaming colleague from Reddit highly recommended CSL games (I am a WDS player), primarily for its "adaptive AI". It's very intriguing for me, but the definition of AI is very broad - from the old school algorithms to the contemporary deep-learning AI systems (e.g., ChatGPT, De...
