I suspect that there are two problems, one old and the other is fairly new. <br/>
<br/>
I ran some tests using window mode and I am seeing the problem with long pausing normally after clicking on something but only on XP32 not Win7x64 and ...

RE: Patch 3 crash

<t> Yes, I normally always save. Of course, it's when I don't that something like this happens. <br/>
<br/>
I posted this to confirm that something is causing a crash that I never saw before. It occurs when using the interface during the orders phase, like the OP said. At the time of the crash I ...

RE: Patch 3 crash

<t> My game crashed on me this evening for the first time ever. Very annoying after two hours of inputting orders and getting ready to end the turn. I have never played in windows mode, and have had the music turned down to zero. I am running patch 3. I'm using -cpu4 -multiaudio -fw, the same as I ...

So, the crux of my statement is: Why is the Allied player penalized for using 'special' historic assets yet the Japanese are not?<br/>
<br/>
It would seem fair that if the Allied player can only use 2 atomic bombs (as were historically ...

RE: Petition: Stop Fog-of-War for friendly units when playing vs AI

<t> Clearly there are a lot of people that fall on both sides, so a switch seems like a good compromise. It probably comes down to whether you feel this is more a simulation or a game. Even assuming real world FOW, eventually some sort of account is available of the fighting that can be studied by ...

RE: Petition: Stop Fog-of-War for friendly units when playing vs AI

<t> I'd like to add my vote to changing the way FOW works for friendly units. I lost three ships in the past two turns through mysterious attacks. The last one seemed so unlikely to be a FOW issue that I came to the boards to see if it is a bug. Apparently it is not.<br/>

For example, I just ...

<r> Thanks for the advice, input, and explanations. I continue to learn more about this game every day, in no small part to reading these forums. <br/>

Japanese aircraft production

<t> I am still learning this game, but enjoy it very much. I have two questions that I'm hoping players experienced with the Japanese economy can answer. <br/>
<br/>
Currently I am playing scenario 2 as Japanese v. the AI. In doing some research on historical Japanese aircraft production numbers ...
