Another one, same game. 12 idle construction ships, several shortages and plenty of places to build. Only 60k private reserves though, not sure why they are so poor. Also no peacetime mission recently. Did not resolve on reload.


I've been trying to pin this down. Quit to desktop and reload ...

Gotcha! all six construction ships are idle, 2 locations with resources in the red, 300k private reserves.

... and when I reload the save it immediate builds 2 mining stations.

Check that the private sector has enough money. I've seen them struggling from time to time. Not sure why.

new game under 1.3.5.8, I have 2 green nebula with pings, yet my explorer ships are ignoring them.

I checks, and the medium exploration ships do have ion sheath (reactive) armor, so it should be safe.

Not sure what is wrong. I have already found several homeworlds and got super research projects ...

I have an ambassador shortage game started 1.3.5.8). I have 2. 7 admirals, 6 generals, 6 scientists, 8 spies.

There are 16 AI nations, at least 4 of which are OPMs that appeared mid game. This, of course, makes the ambassador shortage worse.

I am a technocracy, which should offer +40 ...

just happened again, 2790. There is a second Akdarian empire with 4054M people on one planet. I THINK that may be the problem, if new empires arisen from OPMs (one planet minors) get the whole starmap. I have a save from a year earlier, I will see.

Yup. Akdarian Empire pops up near another ...

Worked fine in a new game. Just got the Akdarian pirates after researching StableWarpFields.

Did they form a defensive pact with you before their war with the Dhayut or after?


Not sure. Pretty sure they started the war though. And there were no "lost planet to..." warnings. I am also wondering why you can offer to subjugate yourself, but not demand subjugation, and if the wrong side ...

Verify integrity means resetting everything. 16.6 kb download.

Here is a save file from right after I was contacted by the 6th set of space pirates. I have some earlier ones, if you need them. StableWarpFields, ComprehensiveExploration, and 4 more pie rats.

1.3.5.8 new game did not spawn with the same race pirates, no kill the hive mission tree. The hive now has a 30k fleet I did not know about. not sure what save game you might want.

edit: I also have not found my homeworld, constitution crystal, or got the research boosts for Fast Interceptors ...

Akdarian Request

Akdarians end up with 2 "Ancient Akdarian spaceports" a small one around their starting planet, and a medium one elsewhere. Can we please have a better name for them, so I don't get confused and have to rename them?

Allies losing wars

In my latest game, one of my best friends / neighbors lost a war and ended up vassalized by the Dhayut, who are no ones friends. As you can imagine, this did not make me happy - we have a +122 relationship.

Request: if a friendly nation is losing a war, would they PLEASE ask for help? And would ...

Short feedback after two games.

There seems to be a bug where the whole galaxy gets revealed, it happened in both games. First one around 2814 and in the second around 2825.


Had that happen as well. No idea why. 2791 in my case.

I played the new beta. I like the peacetime missions, BUT giving me 4 years from a pre warp start to research something is nearly impossible while trying to tech up. Suggest that research missions not fire until after you have a research station built, and a second research mission require a second ...
