RE: Does this title allow the userr to?

Actually, since you have a lot of room to maneuver and many mobile units there's a lot of room for different approaches. It also depends on how you build up your forces during the campaign. So there's definitely a lot of replayability in Germany at War.

RE: General strategy question.

<t> I disagree, Half-tracks are pretty hard to destroy in this game, but their disadvantage is that they are very expensive. It actually worked pretty well to cross rivers with halftracks, and they can be very resistant to enemy attacks if you group them. But trucks should be kept out of harms way ...

RE: Paratroop question.

<t> Yeah, this is a thing I've also noticed in the beta, paratroops are nearly useless, also because there mostly are no additional airfields available on the maps, so that the tactics possible in Panzer General or Panzer Corps (use paratroopers to weaken defenses from behind before your advancing ...

RE: Update version (Patch_GTOS_mar13d1_2013-eng, CU may 2013 order interface questions

<r> Thanks!<br/>
EDIT: Applying the poly update gives me a text window with question marks. Do I need addons/DLCs installed to make it work (or to define it a bit better, is it only for a version of the game with DLCs as opposed to the standard but updated Matrix Games main game)?<br/>

RE: May patch

<t> Thanks for the info, so I'll download and install that update as well.<br/>
Will play the game some more and then decide if I should get some of the expansions from GG. I've liked the game so far, but when I initially bought it, the interface was very confusing, so I had to view some tutorials ...

RE: Update version (Patch_GTOS_mar13d1_2013-eng, CU may 2013 order interface questions

<t> Thanks for the answer. Had no idea about this because there was no update of the documentation during the patches. Graviteam really need to improve their documentation system if they want greater success in the West.<br/>
EDIT: But when I clicked the order in the menu (that opens on Right-Click ...

RE: Demo?

<t> My opinion on this is: There's a demo for both Unity of Command and Panzer Corps, why not ask the developers if they could do a demo containing some small scenarios and the tutorial. I think this gives a much better impression on how the game plays than AARs, it's like the difference between ...

RE: May patch

Have updated it (did work after studying some forum threads on how to do it), what I've been wondering about, what is the polygon update (defined as "optional") on the patches page? Does it increase the poly count of units?

RE: In-game deployment

I've had the deploy box in some scenarios pop up although deployment was locked, have reported it before, for example in the 1942 Archangelsk scenario. Maybe he's experiencing something like this.

RE: A Few Questions...

<r> There are two AARs out, one here in the forums and one on Wargamer, written by ComradeP and me. I also wrote a second, longer one (which is probably better than the Minsk AAR).<br/>

RE: How does this game play?

<t> If you like Panzer Corps, and would like to try out a more historical 3D version of it, give it a try. It's a really good game, and the 3D graphics increase clarity of the map, weather effects are shown directly as animated effects.<br/>
I also liked the 3D models of units, though they might ...
