<t> I don't have a problem with them conceptually, if we assume its part of the universe. There are good story reasons for them to be there, so its all good.<br/>

My problem is that they should be easily handled by nearly any ship. Almost anything can out run them and all military ships can ...

RE: Seriously, Why are Black Holes Still Hard to Build Around?

<t> When you have the constructor and right click, if it says 'build here' I believe that means it is too far away, while if it says 'build at *black hole name*' you will get the bonus. You may need to fiddle a bit to find the exact cut off distance, but should be able to place it far enough away ...

<t> Two quick questions:<br/>
<br/>
Is the cost of ship maintenance dependent on material costs? If so this might be why large empires tend to have fluctuating income, a single widely used material going from 1 to 2 credits could easily cost you 50k maintenance.<br/>

Would it be correct to ...

RE: Minor Request: Fix the Time Scale

<t> Time scale for population growth isn't horribly off. If we had a world with no wars, no famine, and increased life span our population would grow exponentially until we started having those problems again. It certainly wouldn't be out of the question for the population to double or triple every ...

<t> I have never actually seen a pirate base that was completely full of super-ships. At most, even VERY late in the game (like, I control 50% and won the game 50 years ago) with galaxies teeming with pirates I hardly encounter a handful of pirates using strong ships. The idea that they will overrun ...
