Won't this change add a lot of micromanagement? Previously if a planet or star showed it had hidden resources I could plunk a mine there and forget about it and eventually the resource would show up. Now I will (I guess?) have to manually do further exploration, maybe after new exploration tech ...

I have found three explanations online of how supply depots work:

- they add AP to the current total
- they refill AP, up to maximum of 100, but by no more than the amount produced by depot
- they replace current AP if current is lower than what the depot provides

If I start a new scenario it has scenario build version 1.20q and scenario version #179. I started the messed up save on April 3 or 4, after the expansion came out. I do not own the expansion yet.

My understanding is that any population not suited to the environment (not at least +20) lowers happiness and maximum overall pop, in other words effectively lowers the value of the planet compared to all pop at +20 or higher. Whenever you encounter a new species your population policy on every planet defaults to "assimilate" for that species, even though it is likely you don't what whoever it is on most if not all of your planets. If you save right before the mission end date, reloading can change the result. However, there are mid-mission die rolls as well because I've had spies caught well before the final roll at mission end.

A while back somebody compiled a partial table of which races are compatable to colonize which other races. I had that bookmarked on a computer that no longer functions, and my search skills are apparently not up to the task of finding it. Help please?

Because in my current game I had the +100% HiTech wonder, and when I acquired the Techno Nexus the additional 100% never showed in the research screen. I let the game run for 7+ months to see if it was just delayed, but no luck.

Go to advanced search
