RE: Question about the Empire Air force in 1944

<t> The fact is that PPs are very precious at the start of the game for Japan but, come 1944, there is really nothing to use them for.<br/>
After all there are only so many units that you can buy from Manchuria before reaching the garrison limit, most ship captains are already good and air groups ...

RE: Question about the Empire Air force in 1944

<t> I am at a little later stage in my game and I have made the same decision.<br/>
<br/>
At this point in the war there is little use for PP for Japan, as there are only so many LCUs that you can buy out of Manchuria if you want to keep the garrison level. <br/>
<br/>
On the other hand, IMHO ...

RE: Rare AA experiment that doesnt work

<t> Puhis,<br/>
I think you are looking at numbers in the wrong way. The intel report will list a plane as lost to flak only if it is outright destroyeed over your base. That, especially for a Allied 4E, is a very rare event. Nonetheless, if you look at bomber losses there are almost 200 of them ...

so let´s have a look at what happened today, together with the info I received from Rainer the "why" this happened is pretty clear. Like he has tried earlier, he wanted to take advantage of the Japanese 8 hex strike ability to move in ...

Allied opponent wanted for scenario 1 (CLOSED)

<t> As my previous PBEM ended in late 42 due to real life issues with my opponent, I am now looking for a new Allied player.<br/>
<br/>
I would like to play a scenario 1 GC with PDU on, Historical first turn OFF and 1 day turns; HRs are to be discussed before the game.<br/>
<br/>
I can play one ...

RE: PDU Off

<t> I am mostly a Japan player and I think that PDU off is equally limiting for both sides. It is true that Japan will not be able to upgrade all fighters to KI44 and all bombers to KI49IIA, but on the other hand the Allied player is not allowed to downgrade all the P38 units due to withdraw and go ...

Opinion on restricted Japanese units movement

<t> Hi everyone,<br/>
I know that the vast majority of people use the rule that the Japanese player must pay PPs to move restricted units from Manchuria to China, and I do also agree with this. <br/>
My question is slightly different though: If the Japanese player, using only the units originally ...

fuel to Oz question

<t> <br/>
hi everyone,<br/>
I have a question regarding fuel movement to Australia. I was thinking of skipping the Pacific route entirely and haul fuel from Eastern Us to Cape Town and then Perth. I will use the West Coast to supply PH and central Pacific and Abadan to supply India.<br/>
The ...

Noob question on Allies Tankers.

<t> Hi everyone. I'm playing my first Campaign against the AI as Japan but I have never played the Allies so I have a question. Reading on these forums it appears that one of the problems the Allies have early in the war is a lack of tankers. I am now in July 1942 and I have sunk around 40 between ...

RE: v1.01.06c Public Beta Now Available!

Hi guys, just a quick dumb question. I have to make a fresh installation of the game ; can I just put the beta patch over the vanilla game or should I install all patches in sequence?
Thanks a lot.

RE: Japan opponent wanted for first PBEM

<t> Kind ot the usual ones I read here in the forums:<br/>
- If not historical start only one port strike by Japan<br/>
- units in restricted commands must pay PPs to move out<br/>
- no 4E under 10000 feet on naval bomber <br/>
and basically just use common sense and not gamey tactics.<br/>

Japan opponent wanted for first PBEM

<r> Hi everyone,<br/>
I have been playing for a while against the AI and I think it may be time to try to my skill against a human opponent. As it will be my first PBEM I will prefer to play the Allies. If there is anyone interested please send me a PM or email at <EMAIL email="jeffrbos@gmail.com ...
