I tried that, but they would not transport them. Patrol aircraft using the "Pick Up Troops" mission worked.

Re: Air raids and LCU fatigue/disruption

I have the same thoughts about units in Reserve mode - they have to be ready but they aren't on the firing line every minute.
And yes, I agree that disabled devices which do not get help can easily become destroyed devices with a little more fatigue or disruption.

I infer the squads get whittled ...

Re: Problem upgrading devices.

Wish you had been specific about the guns in the first post - I took the big guns inference from the Fortress descriptor. At any rate, if size is not the issue, lack of devices in the pools (and other units taking them) could be the problem, or just being at the end of a long supply chain. Have you ...

Re: Bomb hits and aircraft damage

What RJ said. After a raid you can look at the unit's planes and see their damage levels and, if they go into mandatory repairs, the repair time is estimated too. And of course, bigger bombs have more potential to damage multiple aircraft or do more damage to a few aircraft.
AFAIK, fortification of ...

Re: Problem upgrading devices.

As I understand reinforcements, it happens with the supply cycle between once a week and daily depending on the size of the base. For large guns that take a lot of supply and points for replacements, it would require quite a large base. (Points for replacements refers to how the game has a limited ...

Re: Air raids and LCU fatigue/disruption

Note that disabled parts of units are more prone for destruction too.

Disruption and fatigue increases chance of being disabled.

I think its more a case of damaged beyond repair but can lose some that's for sure.

In my book, damaged beyond repair is the same as destroyed. But morale loss ...

Re: WitPTracker AE Release 1.11 Available!

I don't use Tracker but as I understand it you have to tell it which report files to use to populate the Tracker DB. It can be a single report file (one day's worth of data) or a range of days.

Re: This is How I install WITP-AE

I am not sure my experience still applies but way back in 2009 I got the base game on DVD. I then downloaded the latest patches as they came (the compressed file). I then made a copy in another folder in case of issues and double clicked the patch file to get it installed. About 3 years ago my hard ...

Re: Air raids and LCU fatigue/disruption

Fatigue isn't just from combat. If your sleep gets constantly interrupted or you have to dash several hundred yards to a foxhole or trench you are not getting rested.
But fatigue and disruption contribute to eventual combat ineffectiveness which will show as disabled squads. And if enough men are ...

Re: Cavalry units and pursuit

I haven't seen any improved effect with a Cavalry set on pursuit. I think firepower/morale/encouragement/land skill has more effect on how well a pursuing unit does.

Re: Effect of LCU losses on Japanese AI

The AI scripts designate about 7 bases as "must have" - places like Singapore, Manila and Port Moresby are always on the list. There is also an "end date" for efforts to take the base. AFAIK, if it has taken the base there are no scripts telling the AI to withdraw the troops and abandon the base ...

Re: Planning to buy, but does it work on W10 and W11?

The "weird visual problems and visual artifices" problems sound very much like the problems the switches can totally fix.
It sounds complicated but once you understand the idea, switches are pretty simple. This game came out when WinXP was the major Operating System (OS) and Computer Hardware was ...

Re: Unable to find PW Data

If you downloaded the file as it is on Matrix, it is a compressed file and you need to run that .exe to 'unpack' all the program data. Another thing is that you cannot just copy the directory of the installed program and have that work as a new install - you need to do a proper install to update the ...

Laptops seem to be a special case when running this game - perhaps because they run video off a motherboard chip rather than an entire video card. I recall some players struggling to get full screen game display on a laptop and when they did, it had problems such as you mention. I have also inferred ...

Re: Industry cost

LI is device 527 in the Editor. The parameters for LI production are in there but not for expansion/repairs.
So I looked under "Scenario" , "Locations" and "AI Data" but could not find anything there about repairing LI.

I suspect RJ was conflating the LI production data (which can be changed) with ...

Hi Guys
Playing as Japs
Can someone remember me what is the TOTAL cost of in creasing 1 single capacity in light Industry ?

The question then is why to incrase the light Industry capacity if you never recover the cost
Thanks

It costs 100 supply and 10 ...

Is that split island graphic supposed to be Guadalcanal upside down? (looks like Savo Island on the bottom left and the other islands on the far left could be where Tulagi is). If so, it should be flipped so the bottom of the island is at the top (North) end to make it less confusing to players.

You can force a different resolution by adding an 'f' to your values - i.e. pxf xxxx, pyf xxxx.

I wanted to do full screen mode but could not keep the Windows Task Bar from popping up so I had to settle for a window. Since I have a wide screen monitor and I need the bottom of the screen free to ...

Has anybody created a list of the bases/airfields in India organized into north, south, east and west regions?

Wait, India does have three static command HQs (N, S, E). However, I don't see any way to make them responsible for district defense in an organised way.

Bases have an assigned HQ ...

New Delhi is the capital of India, so it would make no sense to have the trigger above that hex row. Go with the one hex below ND.
