RE: Which Andy scenario has best ALLIED AI?

<t> haha I didn't notice they're almost outta fuel! But I was wondering more about WHY move to the UK, makes no sense at all? I thought the UK withdrawal was only for certain UK ships. <br/>
<br/>
Is this part of the AI script then? They haven't even been damaged much... and it would have been far ...

RE: Which Andy scenario has best ALLIED AI?

<r> In my game (Andy's scenario 17) it's Aug 1942 and things were getting exciting. The Allies beat me to building up bases in Guadalcanal and several of their CV TFs were approaching from the northeast. This was mid-July... at Rabaul I had a bunch of Zeros and Bettys (with KB in reserve) waiting to ...

RE: 'Carrier support unable to supply air cover'

thanks for replies/feedback. I was on 50% CAP (no LRCAP), and pretty sure I wasn't in a base or coastal hex. That was like the 2nd attack or so... on the other hand, I have seen CAP fly even facing multiple attacks/turn.

'Carrier support unable to supply air cover'

<t> Hi<br/>
<br/>
Getting back into the game after a long hiatus... this is vs the AI (AndyMac's scenario 17 'revenge of the Dorniers') the first rendition not the 'nasty' ones that came later. I have a bunch of carriers supporting my Java invasion Feb 1942 at 50% CAP but there was one attack ...

RE: Why should I buy....

<r> just got the game, looks great <E>:)</E> Quick question - is the 'War in Europe' option on the start screen the same game as SC2: War in Europe? Or with added changes/rules etc. <br/>
<br/>
Also, what's the difference between the 1939 scenario and the 1939-1945 race to victory?<br/>

'Quiet' AI?

<r> Hi everyone<br/>
<br/>
Trying to get back into the game after quite awhile. Started a 1943 campaign as Germans (Soviet AI), and gave it a slight boost (125%) to transport and admin. I avoided attacking the Kursk salient but mostly held my positions. It's now about 4 weeks into the game (Aug ...

RE: Katherine, OZ - supplies

<t> Hi everyone <br/>
<br/>
Trying to get back into the game after a very long break (years lol). Playing Japan in scen 1 vs the AI - started just last month on the latest official patch then, and just patched to the latest. Great job btw.<br/>

Stalingrad to Berlin - you get two 19 Pz Div

<r> Attachment is on Nov 26th 1942, 19 Pz Div is already at the front near Smolensk, but the reinforcement schedule shows (another) 19 Pz Div arriving on Dec 31st, 1942. <br/>
<br/>
I assume this is an oversight... is there any easy way to edit this? My game is already in late Dec 1942 (vs AI) and ...

RE: Brigade/Regiment ZoC

<t> On a somewhat related note, I was wondering what happens to a regiment (when a German division is divided into three) somehow gets isolated and forced to surrender, leaving 2 regiments. <br/>
<br/>
Does the lost regiment reform and appear on the western edge as do lost divisions? <br/>

Thought I'd add that the release of WITE is especially meaningful to me as I've been an ardent fan of GG's WIR since the first rendition, back in the mid-80s, on&nbsp;my old Apple IIe.&nbsp;[8D]

War in the East still looks good for a pre-Christmas release though. The manual printing has just finished and they are on their way back to our warehouses.

<t> Playing Germany from June 1944 onwards has to be for serious masochists [;)] especially with hindsight. From what I've seen, I think even the 1943 campaign is challenge enough. <br/>

It's quite different playing Soviets in 1941, at least you know IF you survive the initial German ...

I played WIR avidly, on and off for almost ten years, and WITE is assuredly&nbsp;xxx times bigger/greater than WIR, so yes I think it'll have a fair bit of replayability [;)]
